"Miss Mary" is our mom and this home is where we grew up. We decided to renovate our old home and create a bright and cheery updated space so visitors can have an opportunity to explore Lafayette and the surrounding Acadiana area from our can't beat mid-city location. Not only can you get to most places in Lafayette in under 10 mins but you are also less than mile from the Cajundome and Cajun field. *Ochsner University Hospital & Clinics - 0.95 miles away *Ochsner Lafayette General Medical Center -2.48 miles away *Ochsner Lafayette Clinic - 2.49 miles away *Ochsner Lafayette General Surgical Hospital - 2.60 miles away *Ochsner Lafayette Surgical Specialty Hospital - 4.00 miles away *quick 6 min drive to downtown or ULL (Unv of LA @ Lafayette) - 2.4 mi away *less than 1 mi to Cajun field and the Cajundome/Conference Ctr (easy walk to events & Mardi Gras festivities. *easy access from 1-10 and appx 11 mins from Lafayette Regional Airport At our pied-a'-terre (French for "foot on the ground" but commonly now used to mean "a temporary or second lodging"), you'll find new, comfy beds, beautifully selected decor, a well stocked kitchen with pots/pans, dishes, spices (including local fav, Tony Chachere's Creole Seasoning), wine glasses, utensils, etc....but with so many amazing places to eat...who wants to cook? :) The front bedroom has a king bed, large closet and chest of drawers and the second bedroom has full sized bunk beds, dresser and closet. We have a dedicated workspace for you in the second bedroom, where you can close the door for Zoom calls, etc. And you'll have super speedy internet access with fiber to the home. Our front porch will welcome you home and offers a great place to relax and unwind. Parking for 2 vehicles in driveway. Washer and dryer are located in locked, shared space outside kitchen (laundry room is shared space with mother-in-law suite). Access is easy to arrange. Easy check-in with wireless keypad - door code will be sent once reservation is confirmed. Guest access You will have full access to the living room, kitchen, bathroom and both bedrooms. The washer and dryer, located in the laundry room is behind a locked door at the end of the kitchen. It is locked as it sits outside our mother in law suite, where a family member currently lives. They access the suite from the back entrance and park behind the house. It is very easy to gain access to the laundry room. We will find a time/day that works for you and arrange to have the door unlocked. Other things to note No more than 4 guests allowed. Any unregistered guests will result in a penalty fee. Any service animals must be documented and communicated about prior to arrival. Thank you!
