Welcome to our home. This is a newly remodeled home located on the ocean in the adorable town of Hauula, which is on the NorthEastern shore of Oahu. In addition to a brand new remodel, the home has been furnished with new high quality designer furnishings. Shopping and food establishments are within walking distance and the town of Laie is just two miles North. The world famous North Shore is a short drive North of the home. Please take note that the minimum stay is 90 days Our home was remodeled with high end materials and appliances. We also designed the furnishings and decor to be high quality, simple, and offer you a comfortable stay Home includes three bedrooms and one office space. Two of the bedrooms are located on the ocean side of the home and occupants of these bedrooms will enjoy incredible ocean sounds all night long. Both these two bedrooms have queen sized beds. The third bedroom is on the ‘mountain’ side of the home, but has an outdoor fountain/small pond out the window, so running water can be heard from this bedroom as well. The third bedroom is slightly smaller and is equipped with a full (double) sized bed. All bedrooms are small in size and have minimal furniture in order to maximize space. In addition to the small pieces of furniture in each room, there are closet organizers in each closet, with shelving systems built in to allow for more storage space. Guests have access to a shared hammock and picnic bench, which is owned by the small community (9 total homes) in which the home is located. The home is also located directly on the ocean. Please be aware all Hawaiian beaches are public beaches and, although the property surrounding the home is private, anyone is permitted on the beach at any time. Property manager lives next door and keeps close watch on the home. Owner available by text or airbnb messenger. Home is located at least an hour drive from Honolulu airport. Public transport is available. Once you are on the property, you can easily walk to shopping and restaurants. Bike riding would be an excellent opportunity for exercise and for transporation around Hauula and the neighboring town of Laie In compliance with the laws of the City and County of Honolulu, the minimum rental period is 90 days. Honolulu County Mayor, Rick Blangiardi, though he falsely claims to be a rule of law kind of leader, has publicly announced that he will behave contrary to US District Judge injunctions. U.S. District Court Judge Derrick Watson has recently issued an injunction that bars the City and County of Honolulu, as well as the Department of Planning and Permitting, from enforcing or implementing the Honolulu City and County prohibition of 30-to-89-day rentals until further notice. However, since Mayor Blangiardi has threatened homeowners with what appears to be illegal enforcement action, this property is only available for stays of 90 days or more until further notice. Though it is our hope that Mayor Blangiardi is punished for his lackluster attention to the rule of law, we have nonetheless chosen to abide by this law until such time as it can be struck down or the Mayor is removed from office. Also, make sure that each guest who will occupy the home reads the list of house rules. Maid service is available throughout your stay at an additional charge. Please let us know if you would like to arrange for maid service. There is no television located on the property. However, there is wifi throughout the home. If you plan to watch television, please bring your own device for doing so over wifi Another important consideration is that the home is not equipped with air conditioning. Each bedroom and the living room area are equipped with ceiling fans for air ventilation. Also, there is often a very nice cool breeze off the ocean. There are major considerations to keep in mind: When windows are left open, its critical to be very cognizant and purposeful in closing all interior and outer doors gently. Winds moving through the home will cause doors to slam shut, possibly resulting in costly damage to the property and potentially in injury as well. Be extremely careful and extra cautious/aware whenever windows are left open to allow for breezes through the home. It is also critical to close all windows anytime it is raining or when there is any possibility of rain. Rainwater enters through the window and can damage the home, causing very expensive repairs to structural walls, as well as interior surfaces and property.
