Aloha and welcome to our posting! Our beautiful and newly remodeled 3 bedroom, 2.5 bathroom house in Puamana was designed to have plenty of space for up to eight guests to enjoy our favorite place on earth – Maui! The quick pitch: The house is brand new, spacious, great central AC, big and fully equipped kitchen, open floor plan, private outdoor lanai (that’s Hawaiian for patio!), great BBQ, SONOS sound system, speedy wifi, is perfect for hosting a family or big group of friends, and is in a five star location for activities and good weather. The House: From the front door you’ll find the foyer. The stairs to the right will lead you up to the three bedrooms and two full bathrooms on the second floor, to the left is the downstairs bathroom followed by the entrance to the open kitchen, which looks out over the living room. The living room is designed to be functional with an in-door, out-door flow, opening up to the lanai and the beautiful views of the Puamana grounds just beyond it. It features a large sleeper sofa, big table for indoor dinning, brand new 54” flat screen with apple tv, and has a pull up bar to the kitchen that’s perfect for serving hungry kids or thirsty adults! The kitchen is fully equipped with everything one might need: subzero refrigerator, sink with disposal, oven, stove top, dishwasher, and all the necessary dishware. Combine all of this with the new BBQ outside and you’ll find it's nice and easy to whip just about anything up. The house is meant to host and spend time with loved ones, and we built the kitchen accordingly! Next up is the lanai! Whether it’s time for your slow morning coffee, a midday meal, or cocktail hour, outside on the lanai is the place to relax and hangout. The lounge chairs are a book worm’s dream and we’re lucky to be perched up on a small hill, offering a great view of the tropical trees and grassy field below. Additionally, the outdoor dining table (and its BBQ sidekick!) is perfect for sharing the good times, good meals, and good weather that make Maui so special. The master bedroom has a king bed and a private full bathroom with a double shower (great for small kids or husbands that don’t share well!) and plenty of space to get ready for the day. You’ll wake up each morning to the sunshine coming through the coconut and plumeria trees right outside the huge window that overlooks Puamana and offers a peek-a-boo ocean view. The second bedroom has a queen bed and also overlooks Puamana’s beautiful grounds and a similar peek-a-boo ocean view. This bedroom and the third bedroom share the exterior full bathroom on the second floor. The third bedroom has two twin beds and a lovely view of the ever-spectacular west Maui mountains. However, these two beds can be converted to a king! Yes, I had my suspicions too, but the beds are designed to be pushed together and combined with a special mattress topper. When it’s on you really can’t tell the difference! Beware - all of the beds in the house are very comfy and all of the bedrooms have their own, dangerously good central AC for those 80+ degree Lahaina nights. What is more, all of the rooms have doublepaned windows and great blinds for keeping noise and sunshine out and cool air in. We took great pride in sparing no expense for comfort, however, some of us now have a hard time getting up in the morning! The house has a great, central location inside of Puamana, away from the foot traffic and activity, while still only being steps from the beach access point, tennis court, all three pools, and the clubhouse. We built the home to have clean, classy, tropical beach feeling with plenty of space for our family of five and our boys’ friends, while also making it nice and homey when it’s just the two of us older folks. So, whether you’ve got friends coming along, or it’s just a couple of you, you’ll have plenty of space and everything you need to focus on what’s really important – enjoying yourself! Puamana: The neighborhood is quiet and perfectly landscaped. Banyan trees sprawl around the clubhouse and plumeria trees shower the streets with their flowers. Depending on the season you can also find mangos, bananas, avocados, citrus, papaya and more! From December through April you can even watch Humpback whales swim and play just off the shore. Puamana has 3 pools to fit all of your needs. First is the Dolphin Pool, a perfect place to take the youngsters to play. Next is the Mountain Pool, which is great for teens or anyone looking for more active enjoyment. The crème-de-la-crème pool is the Ocean Pool. Located right above the beautiful blue Pacific, it is the perfect place to swim, lounge, and relax. For land lovers, Puamana offers a tennis court, badminton court, children’s playground, recreation areas, and a private beach. For the more amphibious, there are several easy access surf breaks to test your skills in the water with the equipment of your choice, as well as plenty of areas to hit the water for a leisurely snorkel and swim. Puamana itself has a GREAT location. It avoids the large crowds you’ll find in nearly all of Maui’s resort areas, while historic Lahainatown is only a 15-minute walk or short bike ride down Lahaina’s beautiful and famous Front Street. In town you’ll find all sorts of fun shops, many of Maui’s best restaurants, art galleries, and the myriad of ocean activities offered by the Lahaina harbor (think: sunset cruises, snorkeling tours, submarines, and more!). Finally, one of the most underrated benefits of Puamana’s location is the weather! While we love Maui dearly, it is still a tropical island and with that comes the occasional tropical island wind and rain. However, Puamana is on the leeward side of the island, so if there is ever rain or wind, we are the last place on the island it shows up, and the first place it leaves from. It’s not uncommon to have sunshine and a calm breeze in Puamana, while just five miles north Kaanapali Beach is raining and blustery. If you’ve read this far we hope you’re excited to come stay at our lovely home! We’ve been coming to Maui since 1981 to enjoy this slice of paradise that we love so dearly. Over this time, we’ve ironed out all the little things that can sometimes get in the way of a perfect trip. We hope you’ll love our home every bit as much as we do!
