Classic log cabin comfortable for the whole family. This traditional log cabin sits on the west shore of famous Duck Lake and is 15 minutes to Glacier National Park. Enjoy sitting in the back yard and looking out on the picturesque landscape or relax in front of the cozy fireplace. The cabin is comfortable and family friendly. The space Open floor plan cabin with the living room, kitchen and dining area all surrounding a handmade rock fireplace. The house has three bedrooms, one in the front of the house and two down the hall, all with queen sized beds. The cabin is built in traditional Glacier National Park style. There is a backyard with a picnic table, small deck for grilling and lounging, and at the right time of the season, you can find and enjoy the berry patch. The lake is accessed by a gradual slope down to shallow water. The cabin sits on the shore of Duck Lake with lake access. If you have a boat, you’ll need to use the public boat launch just down the road a bit. Duck Lake has world class fishing. The wildlife here is incredible. In early season the loons can sometimes be heard in the evenings from inside the cabin. Pelicans are not uncommon sites, along with lots of ducks and geese. The cabin walls showcase pictures of moose and bear taken from the property. Guest access Access is to the full house except for the utility basement and garage. Other things to note Fishing, hunting and recreation permits can be obtained from blackfeetfishandwildlife. net Glacier National Park posts closures and park updates on its website. You are welcome to use the bear spray at the cabin when walking around the Duck Lake area and/or when you go on hikes in Glacier Park. Please just remember to leave it there for the next guest. Also, let us know if you end up deploying it, so we can replace it.
