Partially renovated, open air Ohana (lanai) close to most, making it easy to plan your visit. This ample space for two is located only four miles from the airport, seven minutes to the heart of downtown Hilo, Saddle road, Walmart, Safeway or the Hilo mall. Walk up the hill to the park, a safe area equip with a basketball court and playground, or not too far away venture to rainbow falls, boiling pots or Kaumana caves. A relaxing, breezy space allowing for a peaceful vacation or business travel. In a very safe and friendly neighborhood this Ohana was created as an addition to the left side of the main house. It is an open air unit with screened off shutter windows that provide a nice breeze. The main house is occupied by business professionals so it is important to be respectful of each space and quiet hours. There is access to half of the back yard, but it is a work in progress. No access to the front yard. Soundproofing has been installed in parts of the walls, but we request all to be conscious of loud noise volume, especially during quiet hours. From time to time you may hear footsteps, mild conversations, kitties playing in the main house, a rooster crowing or dog barking in the distance, but typically a very tranquil surrounding. The studio is very spacious and furnished with a fold down futon, two lounge chairs, a coffee table with charging usb and light, a comfy queen size bed with a Tempur-pedic topper, a marble desk and chair with wheels, a half kitchen with refrigerator, microwave, toaster over, electric burner, basic pots and pans, basic utensils, a standing shower and separate toilet area away from shower, toilet paper, basic showering products (shampoo, conditioner, soap) and the host will gladly replace linens and towels if need be. You’ll have a private entrance with keyless entry and parking spot right in front of the mail box 99% of the time open, leading directly to your front door. Any street parking is open otherwise. There is a Zero tolerance for smoking on or around this property. This unit does not include laundry. There is no pets allowed unless a legal service animal, our sincerest apologies. Parking is on the street, next to our mailbox or anywhere open on the street. From the mailbox you’ll see a long stretch of green mesh overhang and some plants, pass the rubbish cans about 10 steps down you’ll find the door on the right with a sign, the entrance to Hilo Town bungalow. You may or may not hear from time to time, yard work, postal truck horn, cats playing, dogs barking, chickens or roosters and neighborly chit chat from others yards in the distance.
