Captain Bayley House Captain's Quarters

Sun lit suite, with queen canopy bed, and roll out youth-sized trundle bed. Our spacious guest suite, w/private bath, is on the 2nd fl of our home, overlooking gardens. The 1840 Captain Bayley House is fully renovated w/ modern conveniences (central air-conditioning, and generator), and all the amenities to feel at home, incl. mini fridge stocked w/breakfast items and drinks. Take towels and chairs to the beach, or enjoy coffee or glass of wine, in our garden. Kitchen stove avail. by request. The space Our home is located in the heart of the city's South End-a short walk to all of the waterfront attractions, and a bike ride away from Plum Island beaches. We offer off-street parking, in our driveway, to the right of the house. Guest access Guests may use our living room and TV, as well our outdoor garden patios. During your stay While we enjoy socializing with guests, we give our guests privacy and space . We are available to recommend amenities, recreation, and local dining. We are fully vaccinated. We require guests who are not fully vaccinated to wear masks in common areas, when entering the house. Other things to note The guest suite is on the second floor of our house. Also, potential guest should know that the shower/tub is deep (a Jacuzzi), and can be challenging to step into, if one has mobility issues. We do have a grab bar installed. Our home is a 10 minute walk to the heart of downtown Newburyport, the waterfront, and theater. Summertime in Newburyport includes waterfront festivals and concerts. We provide beach towels and chairs.
