Located right on Magazine St in the Historic Garden District, you will be in the heart of the best dining, nightlife and shopping in New Orleans, only minutes from St. Charles Ave and its streetcar, and only a short distance to the French Quarter & Convention Center. With a two large bedrooms and full kitchen, this charming apartment combines historic character with modern amenities making it the perfect alternative to a hotel! The space This cozy 2 bedroom/1 bathroom apartment, in a Pre-Civil War building, is full of New Orleans charm, offering high ceilings and a balcony overlooking the bustling Magazine Street. Along with modern amenities, including an updated kitchen with stainless steel appliances, the apartment is equipped with central A/C and a new, memory foam queen size bed for a perfectly comfortable stay! Sleeping: The bedrooms have queen size beds with a new, memory foam mattresses, for a great night’s sleep, and a comfortable chair for sitting. Kitchen: The spacious kitchen is perfect for cooking a light snack or a full meal, with stainless steel appliances, including a microwave, stove and toaster, plus pots, pans, dishware, utensils & cooking staples such as salt, pepper & olive oil. A drip coffee maker is provided, with complementary coffee, filters & sugar for your convenience. Bathroom: The cute bathroom has been recently renovated to include a brand new and extremely large tile shower. Entertainment: The apartment has a large, flat screen TV with a streaming device that can be used with your personal accounts such as Netflix, HULU or Prime. We also provide free high-speed WIFI. Please note that we do not have cable/satellite TV, but provide an HD antenna that receives the major (CBS, NBC, ABC, etc) and local channels. Outdoor Spaces: The apartment has plenty of outdoor space to enjoy, including a balcony overlooking Magazine Street, perfect for people watching before heading out for the evening, and the use of the shared large, grassy backyard which is great for children or pets to play in! Parking: There is no on-site parking available, but there is free street parking right in front of the building on Magazine street and the closest side streets. Paid street parking starts a block from the unit so you may want to be mindful of that. Washer & Dryer: For convenience, guests may use the washer & dryer, located in the small housekeeping building in the backyard, free of charge. You will need to provide your own detergent (HE type only). Central Air Conditioning: We have central air conditioning to help keep you cool and comfortable during the warm, New Orleans summers! *** Please Note *** The building does require going up stairs to access the apartment so it may be challenging for anyone with mobility challenges. ** Pets** We now accept dogs and other permanently caged animals only. No cats. No rodents. Pets are assessed non-refundable “Pet Rent” of $75 or $25/night, whichever is greater for the first pet, while the second pet gets a 50% discount. This rate is not included in our quoted price - it is an additional surcharge. Please contact us prior to check in to arrange for the additional "Pet Rent". All dogs must remain on the leash while in public spaces. Dog owner must pick up all waste. Dogs must not exhibit excessive barking or other behaviors which disrupt the quiet enjoyment of any other space in the building. Dog owner shall not allow any pets on to any furniture for any reason. Dog owner is responsible for all pet hair and “shedding”. Landlord will pass along any additional extra cleaning fees to dog owner. Dog owner is responsible for any and all damage to the apartment, furniture, or other property by pet. Landlord reserves the right to expel from the building any animal for any reason in his sole discretion. Guest access Guests have access to the entire apartment, plus the shared outdoor spaces. We observe building quiet hours from 9pm to 9am daily and request that you do not use the shared spaces after 10 PM. Electronic Door Lock: For your convenience, we utilize an electronic door lock to make check-in/check-out simple and to make sure you never have to worry about carrying around your keys. We will send the code and instructions the evening before your stay. Other things to note There are full-time tenants living in the building and therefore, all guests are asked to adhere to a strict, no excessive noise policy after 10pm. Although we do not typically receive complaints about noise, this is a very old building (dating back before the Civil War), so the walls are thin and we like guests to be aware of that, and respectful of neighbors during their stay. There also may be slight amounts of noise from the street. There is no off-street parking available with this unit. There is only on-street public parking available (both on Magazine Street and side streets). Please be mindful that just a block away you do have to pay to park during certain times during the day. As long as you park on the block in front of building and/or magazine going downtown you will be just fine. Extra Guests: We do charge $25/night for each guest over 2. We will provide an air mattress and extra linens for the extra guests to us, please contact us ahead of time to arrange. You will need to climb stairs to the second floor to access the unit in the building. ** Pets** We now accept dogs and other permanently caged animals only. No cats.
