Modern studio on the 4th floor of Waikiki Grand. Building is across the street from the best stretch of Waikiki Beach, Honolulu Zoo, Kapiolani Park & great for families! Very comfy queen bed + double paned windows to block out noise for great night's sleep. Futon folds into full size bed accommodates 3 guests. Fully stocked kitchen w/stove, oven, microwave, & refrigerator, perfect for making simple meals. Carefully cleaned & disinfected after each stay. My private studio is in the absolute best location in Waikiki! Just steps away from the beach, zoo, aquarium, and park. A great home base for venturing out or staying in and enjoying the gorgeous rooftop view of Waikiki (perfect for wine at sunset or coffee at sunrise). Studio includes modern furniture and fully stocked kitchen for cooking(stove oven, etc), living area with free wifi and flat screen cable TV, comfy queen bed, and double futon. Double pane windows block out street noise at night. Fiber optic cabling means that the internet speed is fantastic. I also provide my guests with beach chairs, snorkeling gears, boogie board, beach towels, sand toys, and a cooler for snacks/drinks so you don't have to buy or rent anything. There may be other beach items purchased by guests and left for others to use. Shampoo/conditioner, body wash, hair dryer, iron and ironing board are all provided, so you can leave those at home. -- Free Wifi -- USB ports on bedside lamps -- Window AC -- 40" Flat screen TV , Free cable -- Pool -- Rooftop lounge area with gorgeous ocean views -- 24 hour front desk/security personnel -- Fully stocked kitchenette for full meal prep -- Single serve Keurig-style coffee maker with complimentary coffee -- Refrigerator -- Iron/ironing board -- Hairdryer -- Laundry facility in basement -- Public piano in lobby Hula's Bar & Grill located on unit floor ( 2nd) and Teddy's Bigger Burgers located on first floor of building. Starbucks around the corner beachside and 2 ABC Stores (like a 7 Eleven) around the corner. You are right across street from small pier, ocean, and zoo. This end of Waikiki has the largest and best beach of the strip. Kapiolani Park (perfect for a morning run), the Honolulu Zoo, and Waikiki Aquarium are a few minutes walk (under 5 minutes). Take a walk up Waikiki strip to see historical Moana Surfrider Hotel, Shop & dine at Royal Hawaiian Shopping Center or International Marketplace. I own 6 other units at the same building and 3 others in Waikiki, all with great reviews. PARKING INFO: The best thing about Waikiki is that everything is walking distance. You really only need to rent a car for days you want to venture out to other parts of the island. There is no parking included with this apartment. There's a small parking lot in the building for $25/day - You will need to call and/or email Waikiki Grand Hotel directly to reserve a spot. I recommend doing it as early as possible because the spots fill up quickly. Other places to park: You may be able to find free parking around Kapiolani park which is about a 5 minute walk. "Paki Street" along the side of the park and along Monsarrat St. Kapiolani Park has free metered parking from 6pm-10am daily and all-day on Sundays. Across the street, you can park at the zoo for only $1.50 an hour. This can be the cheapest option since you only pay for what you need. I provide a more detailed parking information with a parking map in the Welcome Packet inside the condo. GETTING AROUND: Bike sharing stations “Biki” are available all around. Mopeds and 2-seater 3 wheeled mopeds are available for rental right along Lemon Rd. There's also car sharing service such as Turo.com and Drivehui.com. There are multiple bus routes just steps away. Look on Thebus.org for more info. Uber and Lyft are also used regularly around here. I recommend only renting car or use Turo or Drivehui on days you plan to go North Shore or explore the entire island. Everything else is walking distance or easily accessible by bus, Uber, or Lyft. I don't live on the property so you have 100% privacy, but I do live on the island. I generally just communicate through Airbnb website but you can reach me via phone or email as well. I always respond quickly (100% response rate on AirBNB) and I'm happy to answer questions or give assistance. Let me know if you need anything. Most of my guests don't get rental cars since everything in Waikiki is within walking distance. If you're planning on spending time at the beach, you don't need a car. Shopping and dining are all within walking distance. Uber/Lyft are readily available and our bus system in Honolulu is great. The bus stop is right around the corner. In addition, bike sharing station is also close by. There is no parking included with this apartment. There's a small garage at the building for $25/day (new rate of $30/day starting Jan. 1, 2023). Guests are to contact the building directly for reservation. I recommend contacting them as early as possible since the lot fills up quickly. For other less expensive street parking options, please ask me for a parking map and I can forward to you. If you prefer to rent a car, a good option to look at car sharing service such as Drive Hui. It's a service similar to Turo and there are two parking stalls right next to the building. You can rent cars by the hours, day, etc. And, it would come with it's own dedicated parking stall. Not only is it cheaper than a traditional car rental, by the time you include parking, it's a big saving. About half of my guests with rental cars don't park in the building and choose to find inexpensive and even free street parking. You are coming at the peak season and parking is going to get harder to find, but it is possible. Most will only hunt for free street parking for overnight parking and use the Honolulu Zoo lot across the street ($1.50/hr) for shorter trips back to the condo. You have full run of the apartment - its not a shared space. It's a 363 square foot air conditioned studio apartment with floor to ceiling windows on one side of the room and no lanai (balcony). There is a rooftop sundeck on the 10th floor (see the pictures) that is available to everyone and has stunning ocean and mountain views. It's a great place to relax with wine at sunset, or head up for coffee in the morning.
