Kailua Beach Park - 1 BR Cottage

Kailua Beach was once again been rated as the best beach in the USA for 2019, by Dr. Beach." The cottage is directly across the street from Kailua Beach Park and less than a 2-minute walk to step into the ocean. It is a legal vacation rental, license number 1990/NUC-1758. The property is tucked away one house back from the road into Lanikai, and described by guests as "a little oasis of quiet and calm." The bathroom has been remodeled with a new showers, sinks and plumbing fixtures April 2022! The space It's ideal for two people, but can sleep four. It is not recommended for more than two adults plus one or two children max. The bedroom has a queen bed, and the living room has a futon sofa that opens into a double bed with comfortable spring mattress. A "pack-and-play" portable crib is available. The bathroom has a full tub with shower. The unit is equipped with a wet bar that includes a large sink, full sized frig, microwave, large toaster oven and hot plate, but not a stove top or oven. The hosts have stayed as guests in more than 30 Airbnb rentals in Europe, Asia and the US, and know what features are most important to vacation travellers, with cleanliness being the number one priority. The cottage has just been renovated and is very well maintained. NOTE: In March 2018, all new double-pane windows and split unit air conditioning were installed. Guest access The rental area is an entire part of a house, very private and with a reserved parking space just by the private entrance. Most guests do not have any problem with the parking, but it does require parallel parking if there is a car in the neighboring parking space. The unit has its own charcoal BBQ grill and there is shared, large capacity and easy to use wash machine and electric dryer on site. There are two end-to-end parking spaces on the property, and one of them is reserved exclusively for this unit. They are easy to get into and out of, if you know how to parallel park. If you do not know how to parallel park, it is recommended that you do not rent a van or large SUV, but consider a smaller vehicle with good all around visibility. Other things to note At the Lanikai end of Kailua Beach Park, between Buzz’s Steak House and the hilltop pillar marking the entrance into Lanikai, there is only one other legal, licensed vacation rental. All of the rest are unlicensed and illegal, and subject to shut down by the Department of Planning and Permitting, with subsequent cancellations of guests’ reservations.
