This unique Eco-Hexagon Home is close to the ocean and offers a private relaxing sanctuary for travelers seeking a memorable tropical experience. Surrounded by tropical foliage, it’s been described as a luxury tree house. Located just a two block stroll to panoramic ocean views, the hexagon is powered by sun and water collected from the sky. Conscious travelers can enjoy a reduced carbon footprint with off-grid living while still enjoying modern luxuries here in Paradise. This spacious two-story home celebrates high ceilings, a central tree trunk, and natural light. Spacious tile and wood flooring offers room to move, dance or lay out mats for your personal practice. You will enjoy a full kitchen and bath including a claw foot tub, sun-warmed outdoor shower, and small desk. There are two queen beds in the house; one up and one downstairs. The hexagon has a mostly open floor plan, so there is little sound barrier between sleeping spaces. There is a small fishpond in the yard and open air, covered dining on the lanai. Bird and frog song can be heard each morning and evening. Located in Kalapana Seaview, the hexagon is just a two block walk to ocean views from a grassy park perched on a cliff for sunrise viewing. Humpback whales can occasionally be seen November through April. Walk to Kehena black sand beach in just 20 minutes, a clothing optional spot known for powerful beach breaks that offer plenty of excitement. The 2018 eruption changed our landscape, which has happened many times before. This renewal and change is part of what makes this spot powerful. From the hexagon you can explore the story of this lava through old flows, dynamic beach fronts, and excursions into Volcano National Park. Sunday mornings Maku'u Market has many produce stands, food vendors, local art and gifts. There is also a smaller Kaimu Market on Saturday mornings. Rural Pahoa is just 20 minutes away and offers grocery and health food stores, locally owned restaurants and shops, a pharmacy, as well as a post office and business center. Hilo’s Rainbow Falls and Boiling Pots, Volcano National Park, Hamakua Coast, Akaka Falls, Mauna Kea, and South Point are all possible day trips from this location. However, you may discover that the hexagon offers ample space to explore. We hope you enjoy this magical place we call home. Entire home. Yes, of course. Please, email us if you need help or support with the home. We live close by and most likely can offer assistance if need be. Relatively quiet cul-de-sac. No street lights. Ocean waves and hypnotic coqui frogs can be heard. This is a residential neighborhood, so there can be construction, mowers, and other typical noises, however if you're coming from a city, this place feels comparatively tranquil. Renting a car is advised to enjoy all the adventure and sights this island has to offer. There is bus which runs to and from Seaview neighborhood to Pahoa. One may walk to Seaview community ocean view park in a couple of minutes, and to Kehena Beach in about 20 minutes. This beach requires careful traversing of a lava trail but it's worth it. After 2 people, $20/per person, 4 person max. $150 cleaning charge, 30 nights minimum. There is no laundry on site. Conservation of water and power requested. Hawaii State taxes are listed in addition to rental rate and site use fees. WARNING! some Cell Phones do not have connection in this area!!! There is a landline phone, wifi, and you may use wifi calling mode on your cell phone, perhaps
