Lahaina and all towns west are closed to tourists (Kaanapali, Kapalua, Napili) However Kihei, Wailea, Paia, Makawao, Hana are open; beaches, restaurants, and stores are open. Located on 5 acres, the grounds have plenty of open space, grass and mature shade trees. Koa resort is a small condo complex which feels more like a townhome. Unit 4A in an end-unit with a ground-floor entry that is easily accessed from the parking lot. Parking in the lot is free and for Koa Resort guests only and up to 2 cars can be registered. Guests have access to the entire condo. We live in Kihei and are available throughout your stay and can offer suggestions on activities, sites, dining, fishing excursions, tours etc. Koa resort is located directly across the street from 2 great beaches including the longest beach in Maui which you can walk for nearly 6 miles. Just 1/4 mile to the north is the Hawaiian Islands Whale Marine Sanctuary which is a perfect place for kids to explore the tide pools. 1 mile to the south is Azeka Center, home to several of the best restaurants in Kihei. Here you can find Hawaiian, Mexican, Japanese, seafood, Thai, Italian, and shave ice. Koa resort is a great base for exploring Maui. The beach is about 1/4 mile walk away and restaurants are about 1 mile away. Renting a car is the best way to see all Maui has to offer.
