Stay in your own French Quarter-area Firehouse!
Full Property Buyout - sleeps 15
This historic gem is one of New Orleans' most unique vacation lodging properties and one of the most popular places licensed by the City as a Bed & Breakfast! Stay in an authentic historic firehouse while enjoying the modern amenities of this renovated gem. There's even a pool table! We are located near the French Quarter in the Faubourg Marigny, considered by many travel magazines to be one of America's hot neighborhoods. Guests love it! The renovated 19th century Firehouse building is one of the coolest places you'll ever stay! Nothing is cookie-cutter about this French Quarter-area building. Saved and renovated by a local architect, the Firehouse has three large units rented together: MAIN FLOOR - 3 queen bedrooms, each with a "loft" configuration...one even has bunkbeds for kids or extra guests, PENTHOUSE - 2 bedrooms, one of which is the large master with king bed, and TOWNHOUSE - 2 queen bedrooms, each of which open directly into the courtyard. Each bedroom is completely private and features room locks and individual bathrooms. Sure, the Firehouse has all of today's "necessities" like wifi throughout the property, cable television, central air conditioning/heat, and a fully equipped kitchen. But there are many little "extras," too, like two Keurig machines, a Kentwood hot/cold spring water machine, Public Goods toiletries (body wash, shampoo, hand wash, etc.), a blender, multiple refrigerators and more! Our guests have access to the entire Firehouse, including the granite/stainless kitchen upstairs, the courtyard and the refreshment bar downstairs. Two living/congregation areas (one up/one down) and a dining nook, too! The downstairs even has a new game room, complete with pool table. Beth is a quick phone call or text away from the property. Two owners also live in New Orleans should guests need assistance. The Faubourg Marigny grew up after the French Quarter was established. In the early 1800s, the Marigny become one of the first "suburbs" of the growing city. Now, it's become a de facto part of the French Quarter tourist district. Frenchmen Street is the jazz hot spot in town, in fact! Bourbon Street, Royal Street and the sighs and sounds of the Quarter are all walking distance, too. #5 Marigny/Bywater bus runs right in front of the house. The bus goes to the Central Business District. The Riverfront and Rampart streetcar lines are both just a few blocks away, too! Taxis are plentiful and Uber and Lyft are very inexpensive options as well. While cars are generally not advised for New Orleans tourists, there is plentiful and free street parking in the neighborhood. No timed restrictions and no parking permits needed. Please note that we strive to be good neighbors. We welcome all guests but if you're thinking "Animal House weekend in New Orleans!" then please move on. We take noise complaints very seriously.
