The Fair Oaks Farmhouse is nestled among 4 acres of lush, mature trees in the heart of Lafayette, LA, located just a mile from Ochsner Lafayette General Hospital and a mile from Moncus Park. In less than 10 minutes, you can be listening to live music downtown or shopping in River Ranch. There is no other home like it where you get all the amenities of city life with all the relaxation of the country. It's private setting and ample parking make it the perfect spot for wedding party weekends. The space The entire house is packed with windows letting natural light hit the heart of pine floors at all hours of the day. The kitchen is loaded with premium finishes including a SubZero refrigerator and Wolf range. There are place settings for 8 people, pots and pans, basic cooking utensils, and a full size coffee maker. The kitchen opens up to the living area with ample seating around a Sony Smart TV. The dining room table seats 8. On the mid-level, you will find a full bath with double vanities and a clawfoot tub, along with the laundry room next to it which houses a huge commercial grade MayTag washer and dryer. At the top of the stairs are the two bedrooms. Bedroom 1 has king size platform bed, full size dresser, and a walk-in closet adorned with antique doors. Bedroom 2 is huge and has a queen size bed, along with (2) twin beds. There is ample room for a blow up mattress or two! At this time, we do not provide the additional mattresses. Up the next few steps is the second full bath with shower and double vanities. Decorated with a blend of antique doors, modern finishes, ship lap, and pine floors - this house is so cozy and unique. Absolutely the most private setting you can get in Lafayette, LA - all while being a stone's throw from everything you need. We have a new in-ground firepit out back you can sit around and enjoy a glass of wine out in nature. Guest access Guests will have access to the entire house. The only thing off -limits are the two outdoor storage sheds.
