Welcome to the Bunk House on Antelope Run! The Bunk House is part of our family retreat that is Antelope Run- two family homes on 30 acres in the heart of the Paradise Valley in Montana. The Bunk House and the Long House are available to rent together or separately. Antelope Run is a family focused experience but great for a small group of friends out for a weekend getaway or a small corporate retreat with lots of space for focus. Find us on IG @antelope_run. The 1,660 sq. ft. Bunk House was designed to accommodate two families with kids comfortably, or a multi-generational family, or a few couples, or a bunch of friends! The floor plan has an east side and a west side divided by a great family room and open concept kitchen at the heart of the house. The Bunk House centers around the Great Room, a space built for entertainment and relaxation. Oriented due south, the room has 10’ tall windows that span the length of the room. A gas fireplace is tucked in the corner of the living area with a 65” television adjacent. The windows frame incredible views of Emigrant Peak and Dexter Point Peak, two iconic and hike-able summits. The open kitchen is beautifully designed to suit a fantastic cooking and entertaining experience. The dining area has a bar with seating for four and a round table for four. A table for 8 is outside on the terrace under the heaters. A signature feature of the Bunk House is the sloping roof and retaining walls. The house was designed to 'sit' into the landscape. The roof has been carefully designed to allow the natural sunlight and warmth to reach to the bedrooms and provide a deep sheltered porch. .The north overhangs provides a large carport with space for two vehicles and a deep front porch with a couple adirondack chairs. On the south terrace, a table for eight, dual-fuel grill, a gas fire pit and lots of adirondack chairs provide an awesome entertaining space. You can sit on the lodge-like south terrace around the gas fire pit in the rain and snow, remain warm and dry, and enjoy a beverage as you take in the view to the south towards Yellowstone. We are managing the 30 acres of Antelope Run to increase biodiversity and biomass of the land. We have an ecological restoration plan to carefully improve the habitat for all species that share the acreage. Pronghorn are regular visitors; mule deer wander by and the elk occasionally bed down in our meadows. If you are lucky, you may catch a gray fox or badger ducking in and out of their dens. Bald eagles, osprey and golden eagles ride the thermal updrafts created by the geological bench and innumerable song birds flay about –yet another incentive to sit on the south terrace and watch these magnificent birds soar by. Antelope Run is situated within the Greater Yellowstone Ecosystem and we are doing all we can to support our local species from the smallest pollinators to the largest megafauna. The Bunk House is built to comfortably accommodate 8 guests All beds are outfitted with very comfortable bedding : • EAST MASTER SUITE: 1 Cal King Bed + Private Ensuite Bath + 55" TV • WEST MASTER SUITE: 1 Cal King Bed + shared bathroom • BUNK ROOM: 4 Twin Beds + 55" TV + Zoom room + shared bath • Great Room with fireplace + 65" TV + adjacent powder room • Open Concept Kitchen - fully equipped There are two homes on Antelope Run - the Long House and the Bunk House. Both homes share the entire 30 acres but each has an abundance of individual outdoor space, no resources are shared. Each home rents separately but can be rented together. There are two homes on Antelope Run - the Long House and the Bunk House. Both homes share the entire 30 acres but each has an abundance of individual outdoor space, and all it's own amenities- no home resources are shared. Each home rents separately but can be rented together. If renting the Bunk House separately from the Long House, guests have access to the entire 30 acres but we ask you stay on the 15 acres surrounding the Bunk House, especially on the porch side of the house. There is a bison sculpture between the homes - go take pictures with it! But we ask you not to go past it, this is the same for the Long House guests but in the other direction. Guests do have access to all 30 acres so feel free to walk the driveway or the fence line to the north, just don't wander by the porch of the other house - see the last image in the photos to understand the distances between the homes. If renting both homes together then Antelope Run is your to explore! Either way, explore, relax and have fun! At a Glance the Bunk House has: • Gas Fireplace in Great Room (coming January 2023, supply chain...) • Propane Fire pit on South Terrace (electric switch ignition) • Lots of covered exterior space • Multi-fuel grill on the covered terrace- propane, charcoal and smoker; propane provided • Wood fire pit and cowboy grill out in the meadow (open fire is season, weather and wind permitting) • Fully-equipped Kitchen • Radiant Floor Heating and Full House Air Conditioning • WiFi throughout house • Streaming on all televisions • Amazing well water from the aquifer 200’ below the land • Minutes for amazing National Forest and National Park natural resources • Amazing dark skies- see the Milky Way on moonless nights (keep the lights low outside...) Antelope Run is 30 acres in the heart of the Paradise Valley, Montana. We sit on the west side of the valley, on a geologic bench above the valley floor where the Yellowstone River flows. The land has sweeping views of the Absaroka Range to the east, the Gallatin Range to the west and Yellowstone National Park to the south. Bald Eagles soar off the edge of the bench, pronghorn antelope wander the land, blue birds busily flit about and badgers dig their dens- Antelope Run is the perfect base for a southwestern Montana adventure. Antelope Run is located about 30 minutes from Gardiner and the North Entrance to Yellowstone National Park. We are only 20 minutes from Livingston, one of the great small towns of the western United States. Within a 10 minute drive, live music is available almost every night of the week at numerous locations in the valley as is the world famous Chico Hot Springs. All our neighbors are on 20+ acres lots so there is a lot of wide open space! Deer, antelope, elk, small mammals and livestock are regularly found along the road and crossing the road. When arriving, stay to the right when the entry drive forks at the Long House. The Bunk House is just up the gentle incline, beyond the Long House and further down the entry drive. Please drive slow on the entry drive. BOOTS: We ask all guests to kindly remove boots and shoes in the house. It is dusty out there, sometimes wet and muddy too- let's keep it outside. The floors are heated so you should be plenty comfortable in stocking feet. WILDLIFE: There is wildlife wandering around the valley and our 30 acres- mostly deer, elk, pronghorn and small mammals. DO NOT APPROACH any wildlife- they are wild. Please do not feed the wildlife. Please do not harass the wildlife in any way. Please observe animals from a distance. If an animal approaches the house, please stay inside until they wander off- if needed, make noise from inside the house to scare them off. LIGHTS: We have lots of outdoor lights to allow guests to see in the dark Montana night and welcome you back in the evening. However, the lights will impact the amazing stars and the amazing Montana stars. Please be sure to turn off exterior lights when you go to bed. Light pollution is a real concern in the valley and our dark skies allow everyone to see the amazing stars! FIRE: Fire is a concern, especially in the dry days of summer. The outdoor fire pits are there to enjoy but need to be managed very carefully. NEVER leave a fire pit or the fireplace unattended. NEVER build a fire above the edge of the pit. Please use the inside gas fireplace all you want but DO NOT leave the fireplace on overnight. Be aware, the fireplace in the house warms the house quickly and the heat rises to really warm up the loft spaces at night. WINDOWS: Many of the windows in the house are operable. Please open the windows and let the fresh Montana air in! Be careful to not leave windows open when you are not in the house or go out for the day- the critters like to find their way in! WIND: Antelope Run can get really windy! Be careful opening and closing doors in the wind- ALWAYS hang onto doors as you open and close them. On really windy days, use the front door, the terrace doors can be On really windy days, interior doors may slam if a window is open when an exterior door is opened. Do not leave exterior doors open, gusts of wind may come up and cause the heavy doors to slam in a dangerous way. Please keep an eye on any trash outside. The wind will blow any bits of garbage a long way away and it can also hurt local animals if ingested. SEPTIC SYSTEM: We are on a septic system so we ask all guest to be very mindful of what goes down the drains. >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> ABOUT US: The Long House at Antelope Run was designed and built by two brothers, Andy and Wes, as a place to bring their families and friends to share time in a landscape they deeply love.
