Description
Every Airbnb is unique, so please carefully read our Additional Rules, found in the "House rules" section at the bottom of this page, and this entire listing before booking! The Miner's Getaway is located right in the heart of Helena, within easy walking distance to downtown and a number of hiking trails! Our space is clean, comfortable, and provides all of the necessary amenities for you to enjoy a thoroughly cozy getaway. The space We have a full, well-stocked kitchen, comfortable living room with a gas fireplace, and laundry room with full-sized washer and dryer. In addition to a standard full/double sized bed, our bedroom features a dedicated space for working. There is a fully fenced front yard, which is shared with The 1889 Bungalow (our other Airbnb listing in Helena). We sometimes allow pets at these houses, so please be aware you may encounter other guests and their pets in the front yard during your stay. Please also note that this is what we lovingly refer to as one of our "crooked houses" – an older home that has been lived in for generations, where the walls aren't quite square, the floors will likely creak, and there might even be a drafty old window or two. We've certainly remodeled the property to include many modern upgrades and amenities, and while we always do our very best to make our listings welcoming, clean, and comfortable for all of our guests, we also think it's important to preserve as much of the original character and charm of a property as possible. If you're hoping for a perfectly painted, ultra-modern hotel room, this listing truly is not for you. If you're looking for a home with some character and that still shows evidence of its history, then this might be exactly the spot you've been looking for! Guest access • General Access – Access to the premises is controlled by a keypad-operated smart lock system. An access code will be provided just prior to your stay, allowing for a seamless check-in. • Maximum Occupancy – The Miner's Getaway has a maximum occupancy of 2 people (including children) and 2 dogs per booking. • Guest Verification – Unlike hotels, we don't have a staffed front desk to check ID and verify who comes and goes. In order to securely provide self check-in for our guests, facilitate compliance with local requirements for guest registration, and help ensure the safety of our home and neighbors, we need additional identity verification beyond your primary guest's Airbnb profile. More details are available in our House Rules, but these verification requirements include requiring all adult guests to have their own identity-verified Airbnb profiles attached to the reservation as co-travelers, as well as submitting copies of valid photo ID and providing their phone numbers within the booking's message thread. Aside from bookings confirmed by a travel manager via the Airbnb for Work program, third-party bookings are strictly prohibited. • Vehicles & Parking – We do not have any on-premises parking, but plenty of street parking is typically available. The driveway and garage are not available for guest use. • Restricted Areas – The garage, crawlspace, attic, rear entrance, and back yard areas behind the house are not available for guest access. The door marked "Emergency Exit Only" is alarmed and may only be opened in the case of an actual emergency. Other things to note We welcome reservations with up to 2 well-behaved, housebroken dogs! All pets (including emotional support animals) must be listed on your reservation and are subject to a pet fee. Our home can only accommodate dogs as pets, so cats and any other species are not allowed. Please note that animals cannot under any circumstances be left alone in our home – not even crated. If you'll be accompanied by any animals during your stay, please carefully review our house rules before booking! This property does host pets, and no matter how hard our cleaning team may try, there will almost always be some pet hair left behind by our previous furry guests. If you think you might find this to be an issue or if you are allergic to animals, our home unfortunately might not be the right fit for your stay in Helena. Some of our smart home upgrades and requirements for communication rely on sophisticated and continuously evolving technology. We’re always happy to help however we can, but if you or any members of your group are uncomfortable or have difficulties with technology, our home might not be the right fit for your stay. We offer a window-unit air conditioner in the bedroom for the hotter summer season, installed only from late-June to early-September. Please note that even with this air conditioner running, our home may still be quite warm on hot days. Our gas fireplace is available for use only during the colder months from late-September through early-April. In the harsh Montana winters, we do provide a snow shovel and ice melt for guest use, but snow and ice often accumulate more quickly than they can be cleared by our team or the city. If you're planning a stay with us between October and April, please note that you're likely to encounter extremely snowy or icy conditions that may cause difficulties with navigating the premises and parking.
