Located on the second floor, the light and airy Rose Room is full of charm and romance. Two large windows overlook the spectacular view of the lake and mountains, and one large window overlooks the private, wooded side yard. Rose-covered wallpaper adorns the walls of the bedroom and bathroom and tucked in a corner there is a comfortable seating area with a table and 2 chairs. Completing the romantic ambiance is a beautiful mahogany pineapple poster bed and bureau. Guests have access to the living room, parlor, dining room, the covered back porch, and all 44 acres. We have a rowboat available for guests in the summertime and snowshoes in the winter. We are always nearby if you need us, but we also respect guests who wish to spend quiet time alone with little interaction. The Maguire House is located in the bucolic town of Ashburnham, in north central Massachusetts. We are fortunate to live nearby to great hiking, boating, biking, skiing, shopping, golfing and antiquing. Cushing Academy is in our town and we are close to Winchendon School, Fitchburg State University, and Franklin Pierce University. There is plenty of free parking onsite. There is no public transportation in our town, however, we are located 15 mins. from the commuter rail from Fitchburg to Boston and taxis are available there. It is best to have a car when traveling here.
