At Kihau Gardens (Maui County STRH Permit #2019/0001 and Hawai'i State TAT #T-036-968-8576) we offer a unique home. On each side of a carport, there are two bedrooms, a living area, a small office space, and one and a half baths. Our home in Ha'iku is the perfect stay for two small families who want to explore the north shore, upcountry, Haleakala crater, and the epic drive to Hana. The space Located in Ha'iku, Maui, at Kihau Gardens we offer four bedrooms (each with a queen-size bed), two full bathrooms, two half bathrooms, two living areas, and two small office spaces. This is an ideal space for two families to share and have their own privacy. Situated in a dense, but quiet family-friendly neighborhood you are guaranteed to feel very comfortable. You'll have everything you need while on vacation; a full kitchen, comfortable beds, clean showers, private parking, and a washer and dryer. **Please look at our amenities for a more concise list of what is offered.** Kihau Gardens is an ideal location from which to experience the road to Hana and all that upcountry Maui has to offer. Hana town is approximately 1.5 hours from our home (depending on how many waterfalls you stop to view) and Ho’okipa, world-renowned for turtle watching, surfing, and windsurfing, is minutes away. Historic Makawao town is a ten-minute drive. Makawao is a must-do on any Maui bucket list for the best doughnuts and local shopping. Pa’ia, a quaint surf town with many boutique shops and amazing restaurants (including Mama’s Fish House) is within 15 minutes. Haleakala Crater is within a two-hour drive. Kihau Gardens is also within walking distance to the Pauwela cannery, home to the cafe Baked on Maui, KT Surfing, Jud Lau Surfboards, Kazuma Surf Factory, and Goya Windsurfing. Guest access You'll have access to the entire property including the carport and backyard. Please refrain from parking in the shared driveway. Other things to note Kihau Gardens is within walking distance to the cafe Baked on Maui and the grocery store Pauwela Store. It is also a quick five-minute drive to the charming hub of Ha'iku which boasts a selection of restaurants, food trucks, and another grocery store. Although we do regularly treat the perimeters of the houses with pest control products, it is possible for the occasional insects to make it into the houses. Please understand before sending an inquiry. Please also understand that these homes were built in the late 1940s. Some windows and doors have been upgraded while others have not. Please be gentle and patient when operating the windows. Please acknowledge that occasionally we may leave consumables such as condiments or snacks behind by previous guests. We try our best to ensure that it is not expired or stale. However, it is ultimately the guests' discretion to consume these items. Registration Details 2270090300002, TA-036-968-8576-01
