Live like a local in this Charming Freret St. Apartment! For those looking for an authentic New Orleans experience, this is the perfect place to stay! Overlooking Freret St, the trendy uptown neighborhood known for its amazing food scene, this neighborhood feels miles away from the highly trafficked tourist areas, while still being close to everything. This studio is walking distance to great restaurants, cafes and the St. Charles Streetcar, and only a 10 minute drive to the French Quarter. The space This light-filled studio apartment, a corner unit with 6 foot windows all around, has been beautifully renovated, restoring the antique hardwood floors, updating the bathroom and adding stylish local furnishings and décor, for a perfectly charming New Orleans experience!. The unit has modern touches, including a small kitchenette, air conditioning, and a new memory foam mattress, for an amazing alternative to a hotel, and the cozy space has plenty of room for two guests to comfortably sleep for the night, or stay and explore the city for days! Sleeping: The spacious bedroom has a new, queen size memory foam mattress with soft and comfortable sheets, a flat screen TV, and an additional chair for relaxing after a long day. An air mattress can also be provided with advance notice given to the host. Kitchen: The kitchenette is perfect for making a light snack or your morning coffee, with a mini fridge, microwave, toaster and stove top with two burners, along with several pots, pans, dishware, utensils & cooking staples such as salt, pepper & olive oil. A drip coffee maker is provided, with complementary coffee, filters & sugar for your convenience. Please note there is not an oven in this apartment. Dining: The kitchenette has a bistro set, with seating for two, which can also be extended for more space to use as a work area. Entertainment: We provide a streaming device that can be used with your personal accounts such as Netflix, Hulu or Prime. We also provide free high-speed WIFI. Please note that we do not have cable/satellite TV, but do provide an HD antenna that receives several channels. Bathroom: The bathroom has been updated with a new vanity, and new towels, along with a large walk-in shower, though it does not have a bathtub. Air Conditioning: We have installed a PTAC air conditioner, which is similar to having central A/C, which keeps the apartment cool and comfortable during the warm, New Orleans summers! Living Area: The apartment does not have a dedicated living area, but the dinette set and additional seating in the bedroom can be used for relaxing. Parking: One secure, dedicated off-street parking space is available for your stay. If additional parking is needed, it may be available upon request. *** Please Note *** The building does require going up stairs to access the building and unit so it may be challenging for anyone with mobility challenges. There are also several stairs within the unit to navigate when going in and out. Guest access Guests have access to the entire apartment, plus the secure parking lot. Electronic Door Lock: For your convenience, we utilize an electronic door lock to make check-in/check-out simple and to make sure you never have to worry about carrying around your keys. We will send the code and instructions before your stay. Other things to note ** Location ** Please note this apartment is located directly on bustling Freret St, so you may notice light street noise from time to time during your stay. ** Stairs ** The building does require going up stairs to access the building and unit so it may be challenging for people with mobility issues. ** Pets** We accept dogs and other permanently caged animals only. No cats. Pets are assessed non-refundable “Pet Rent” of $75 or $25/night, whichever is greater for the first pet, while the second pet gets a 50% discount. This rate is not included in our quoted price - it is an additional surcharge. Please contact us prior to check in to arrange for the additional "Pet Rent". All dogs must remain on the leash while in public spaces. Dog owner must pick up all waste. Dogs must not exhibit excessive barking or other behaviors which disrupt the quiet enjoyment of any other space in the building. Dog owner shall not allow any pets on to any furniture for any reason. Dog owner is responsible for all pet hair and “shedding”. Landlord will pass along any additional extra cleaning fees to dog owner. Dog owner is responsible for any and all damage to the apartment, furniture, or other property by pet.
