Specifically built for large groups, this home is perfect for families and/or friends who are seeking a peaceful retreat surrounded the primordial beauty and adventure of Lower Puna. The space The home's 5 bedrooms are private and well appointed with organic 100% cotton linens and towels. The 3 main bedrooms have a private bath while the 2 other smaller bedrooms share 2 full bathrooms. The main space is open concept kitchen/livingroom/diningroom and has great ocean views, a large sectional couch, large dining room table and a well appointed kitchen that provides anything you would need to cook your delicious meals with the fresh ingredients the island offers. Off the main space is our large sundeck which is perfect to gather and enjoy the ocean views. The entire home boasts Indonesian teak flooring and Balinese details throughout. Enjoy the tropical weather comfortably as the rooms provide extra high ceilings, ceiling fans and many windows. The skylights in each of the main rooms provide plenty of natural light. The 2 ensuite bathrooms are beautifully tiled with bathtubs and waterfall showers. The two shared bathrooms are also beautifully tiled and have stall showers. The garden room has a 1/2 bathroom inside and a refreshing, private outdoor shower. Carefully landscaped, the yard has a large variety of tropical plants and flowers for you to admire and smell. Included with your stay is a 30x15 4 1/2 feet deep, naturally heated saline pool. The temperatures vary with the seasons but the average is 82 degrees farenheit. Tends to be warmer in the summer months and cooler in the winter.Our main attraction, Kehena Black Sand beach is only a 3 minute walk away from the front gate. Also known as "Dolphin Beach", it is not unusual to see spinner dolphins, green sea turtles and humpback whales during whale season (November-March) It's a clothing optional beach that is perfect for sunbathing in the tropical sun. Trek down early morning to view the sunrise and have to beach almost to yourself. Additional natural attraction nearby include the new black sand beach in Poihiki with it's geothermal pond where you can have a relaxing soak (6 miles away) plus a friendly hike along the coast at Mackenzie State Recreation Area. Wednesday nights at Uncle Roberts you can listen to local music and enjoy some island food and drinks. Saturday mornings is the Kaimu Farmers Market where you'll find locally produced crafts and foods. Sample exotic Frits of the tropics. This is a hosted property so your host will be on demand to help with whatever needs you may have. Other things to note By booking this place you agree that... (a) Quiet hours shall be from 9:00pm to 8:00am, during which time the noise from the STVR shall not unreasonably disturb adjacent neighbors.
