This beautiful, private guest suite is located next to the main house in a peaceful and quiet neighborhood. Guests can enjoy comfortable temperatures at this higher elevation thanks to the cool mountain breeze. With its convenient location, both the airport and the town are within a 10 to 15-minute drive. Great place to escape and enjoy the Big Island! The space Your suite has a separate entrance and its own lanai (patio area). It has a quality queen-sized bed and a bathroom with natural stone floors and a granite countertop. It shares no walls with the main house, which is separated by a breezeway that features a kitchenette and laundry facilities for a peaceful, private stay. Features include a kitchenette with mini-fridge, sink, toaster oven, cooktop, coffee machine, dishes, utensils, free WiFi, laundry facilities, beach essentials, and of course free parking. Guest access Self Check-In is super easy with the key code we provide. Guests will have the entire guest suite, including a lanai (patio area), bedroom, bathroom, breezeway, kitchenette, laundry, and street parking. Other things to note Like so many properties in Kona, our house does not have heating or air conditioning. We find it's just not necessary. It does have a great ceiling fan but if you need your space to be 72 degrees (22 Celsius) all the time, this may not be the place for you. However, since we're on a hill the temperatures here tend to be very comfortable year round. There are so many things that make Hawaii special and enchanting. Some of those things are geckos, millipedes, etc. This is a tropical island, we have tropical critters. If you're lucky enough to see a gecko, take a picture and say hello! If you have issues with tropical critters then maybe a hotel would better suit your needs. We choose not to spray toxic chemicals. We also get to enjoy the wonderful sounds of nature, including coqui frogs and birds, who are especially chatty in the morning. We purposely do not provide a TV. We encourage guests to enjoy Hawaii’s natural beauty and peace. If you bring your tablet or laptop, you can certainly use the free wifi to watch your shows. Finally, we are a licensed Hawaii Accommodations provider, which means we pay taxes. Please keep in mind that as perfect as it is here, Hawaii charges 14.75% and this will be added to your bill.
