Cozy, Luxury Cabin

The Montana Lodge cabin offers beautiful mountain views and an outdoor fire pit and seating. The yard features a stand of aspens and is an exquisite space shared with the owner’s residence. The cabin itself is over 100 years old and was moved from the Pons Ranch and refurbished on site by owners Kay and Daryl. Full of detail, the inside makes use of reclaimed wood and even includes an amazing door from an old ski lodge. The space The property is located in the town of Wisdom, in the heart of the Big Hole Valley. Views to the West are of the Bitterroot Mountain Range and to the East – the Pioneer Mountains. A reading nook is made perfect with a warming Jotul stove imported from Norway. The kitchen is complete with stove, microwave, refrigerator and coffee maker along with dishes and utensils. There is also cable TV. All cabinets were crafted by Daryll, as well as the light fixtures. Kay is a well known photographer and her images are featured throughout the space. A remnant of the original cabin wall features the winter temperatures from long ago inscribed on the wall by the occupant. Guest access The cabin offers quick access to the Big Hole River, a true paradise for fisherman. Two restaurants are within walking distance as well as a great coffee shop. Wisdom also offers the only gas station and grocery store within 50 miles. Butte is 75 miles to the North and Dillon is 65 miles to the South. Just 30 miles west to the Idaho border is the Lost Trail skiing area. Jackson is only 18 miles away and hosts a Legendary Hot Springs. The entire Big Hole Valley is a hunter’s dream and offers snowmobile trails galore.
