The Palm Room - Creekside Cottage

The Palm Room. This room comes with complete with a bunk bed, TV, and closet space. It is part of the Creekside Cottage. Guests will have access to the shared living spaces as well as the kitchen and yard of which is surrounded by beautiful forest. There is a shared bathroom right next to the room and guests will be provided fresh towels every day! Book today to get into this wooded refuge in downtown Covington! The space The whole cottage, named Shellywinkle by my 5 year old, can sleep 9-10. Couples or individual travelers can rent rooms indivdually if they prefer. The master bed, the Bamboo Room, boasts a queen bed, private slate shower and walk-in closet. The Rose Room and the Palm Room share a garden tub. The Palm Room, twin over a full bunk bed, is great kids' room or small family room with it's own large screen TV. The Rose Room is large and delightful with a full four poster on one side and twin couch/day bed with a pull out twin on the other. The common areas are always accessable and include wi-fi, a large screen TV in the living area, a well appointed kitchen to support home cooked meals, instant hot water, a roomy screened back porch, full-size washer/dryer in laundry area, and plenty of parking. All hard flooring inside with a rose garden and fish pond next to the fire pit outside. Very quiet and peaceful morning coffee on the large screened porch looking into trees, sitting on the front porch hearing the fountain of the goldfish pond in the rose garden, or heading around the corner to any of the great coffee places, including Cafe du Monde. Being within minutes of charming downtown Covington means great food and entertainment is right there. Making day trips is easy. Less than an hour from the French Quarter in New Orleans, and less than half an hour from the downtowns of Abita, Madisonville and Mandeville, there is no end to the places to see.
