In just 20 minutes you’ll be paddleboarding a lake, floating a river or hiking a National Foreset trail. In 30 minutes you can access the Jewel Basin Hiking Area or Glacier National Park! Both are gorgeous year-round - see my listing photos for inspiration! All photos you see are within a 2 hour drive of my home. Hungry Horse Reservoir, Lake Kookanusa, the Kootenai River, Many Glacier, Two Medicine, Holland Lake, the Mission Mountains & Polebridge are easy day trips. I included photos from all seasons so you can get a feel what the house & property are like no matter what time of year your trip is. If you’re coming in winter to ski both Blacktail and Whitefish Mountain Resorts are just 45 minutes away! There are also groomed and ungroomed cross country ski trails in every direction - Seeley Lake, Round Meadow & Dog Creek to name a few! If you mountain bike the local favorite Beardance shuttle ride is just 15 minutes south, Legacy Bike Park & Herron Park are 30 minutes and the Whitefish Trails are 45. No matter your season or activities, my house is an incredible Montana basecamp - that’s why I bought it! This temporary rental is definitely for the right kind of guest: someone looking for adventure in Montana without a lot of “frills” :) If you need fancy restaurants or bars, this won’t meet your needs. If older bathroom fixtures or kitchen countertops bother you, I suggest looking for a modern hotel or newly built accommodation. If you appreciate the quiet life, beautiful scenery, outdoor adventure, a cup of tea on the deck and watching the sunset then this would likely be a great spot for you! This is a unique rental in that is it is my furnished home while I am out of town for a few months.
