All peaceful adults from every background welcome. Sorry, no pets. The space Located on an 150+ year old estate, our simple cottage is furnished with timeless antiques and simple modern amenities to accent your stay. Enjoy the quiet landscape, surrounded by old growth trees, nestled between the Navesink River and Hartshorne Woods in Locust, NJ. Bring your boat, kayak or SUP board for river rides out to Sandy Hook beach. Bring your mountain bike for world-class rides through Hartshorne Woods. Or just relax on the porch, dock or lawn and read a book! Sandy Hook beach pass included (good for one car). Please note that there is no tv, no microwave and no central air conditioning, but the cottage is nestled under a shaded canopy with windows and ceiling fans in every room. There IS continuous WiFi for your entertainment needs. Guest access The entire cottage is yours, but it's located behind the main house, closer to the road. You have uninterrupted access to the grounds and dock. There is an outdoor picnic table, buffet and grill for your enjoyment. Enjoy bird watching, fishing and crabbing without leaving the grounds. (Don't forget your gear.) We provide two camp chairs, 2 beach chairs, picnic blankets, beach towels and umbrella. Other things to note It is already Airbnb policy, but absolutely no third party bookings. Through the Airbnb interface, you must furnish a complete list of all overnight guests. Please note there is a maximum of 4 people in 2 beds, the couch is curved and not an acceptable bed. As per our insurance parameters; no pets and no walking children who are not strong tidal swimmers.
