Enjoy the fresh rainwater hot tub after a long day's hike.  The hot tub is drained, sanitized, and refilled with fresh triple-filtered, chemical-free rainwater between each booking. This cozy cottage is in the heart of Volcano Village with luxury features such as a heated towel bar and heated bathroom floor.  Only a few miles from Volcanoes National Park, and half a mile from the Sunday morning farmers market. *New amenities include a heated patio and an ice cream/gelato/shaved ice maker* The 'Alala at Stained Glass Cottages is a hosted cabin nestled in the heart of Volcano Village, in the rain forest atop Kilauea Volcano, at 4000ft elevation.  This cozy detached, fully independent cottage features an artistic feel with stained glass handmade by local artists, while including upgraded amenities you expect in high-end hotels.  Stained Glass Cottage’s ideal location is only 1/2 mile from the Sunday morning Volcano farmers market and 2 miles from Volcanoes National Park.   For those wanting to venture out for a nighttime hike at the park, we provide umbrellas and flashlights.  This is a rainforest, so you will probably experience a shower or two on your adventure. If it’s the beach you’re heading for, we have you covered with a cooler, beach towels, snorkel equipment, boogie boards, and beach chairs.  If you simply want to hang out at the cottage, there are restaurants that the hosts can recommend for dine-in or take-out, or there is a grill for your private use. Other amenities include king size pillow top bed, private parking, free Wi-Fi, 40” Flat screen smart TV, Hulu, washer/dryer, full-sized refrigerator/freezer, hairdryer, bathtub, shower,  heater, Alarm Clock, in-room safe, Smoke/Carbon Monoxide detector, coffee bar and more. Gift basket with local products and discounts included with each stay. The Alala is a fully independent detached cottage.  Access code and Wi-Fi password will be provided prior to arrival. Owner is on property, but cottage windows don't face that building. Windows dressed with blackout blinds. A privacy fence ensures you can enjoy the patio area. Owner can be reached via email or phone with any questions, amenity requests, extra towels, you forgot to buy the club soda, etc. He will reply as soon as he can The guesthouse is in charming Cymbidium Acres in Volcano Village. It's safe neighborhood backs up to Volcanoes National Park. The Sunday morning farmers' market is half a mile away. You will need a car to get around the Big Island. For longer stays extra linens are available. The king-sized bed comfortably sleeps 2. This rental has it's own direct internet connection. Taxes include transient accommodations tax of 13.25% (10.25% Hawaii state plus 3% Hawaii County tax) and general excise tax of 4.712% (4.1885% Hawaii state plus 0.5235% Hawaii County tax listed as sales tax although it is not exactly sales tax, but was closest to description on Airbnb) TA license-029-551-9744-01 GE license-029-551-9744-01
