Down island woodsy retreat.

A peaceful retreat in the woods, centrally located down island near miles of hiking and biking trails and the Alpaca Farm. This large sunny BASEMENT apartment features a full walkout private patio and private entrance. The upstairs floors of the property are rented seperately in August, but I (homeowner) live there year round. We are 1.5 miles from the Performing Arts Center and a 10-12 minute drive to all 3 down Island towns. A car is highly recommeneded, however. The space This is a very sunny and bright BASEMENT apartment with everything you need for a stress free vacation. Sleeping spaces are 1 queen bedroom and a full pull out sofa bed in the living room. 100% cotton bed linens and towels are provided, as well as beach towels and chairs. The mini split air conditioning is ice cold (if you want it to be!) and the outdoor shower is wonderful and spacious. We are off the beaten path. Access is via dirt/sand roads, as is most of the island. It's bumpy in places and the roads are not lit. A car is recommended. The upstairs of the house is occupied, and rented in August. You may hear other guests. However...parking areas, entrances and outdoor areas are seperate. In August, it's possible to rent the upstairs 2 floors of the house as well, accessible by interior stairs. Please search for "Modern Cabin in the Woods" if desired. If the calenders align, it's a great way to rent the entire property for extended family or a group of friends. :) Guest access Basement apartment. Lower level private patio area. Shared outdoor shower. *There is no actual vineyard nearby, but AirBnB won't remove that detail :( Other things to note *A car is highly recommended!* Though the apartment is centrally located, it is not within walking distance to any towns or amenities. The hiking and biking trails are extensive, however. 3 people and 2 dogs live on the main floor of the house, and we try to be mindful of your comfort and our noise level. In August, the upstairs level of the house will be rented so activity around the property and noise level may increase ***The 10 pm quiet time is strict. Indoors and outdoors*** Parties aren't allowed. This is a quiet family neighborhood and we respect our neighbors. Our tap water is from our own well, filtered and perfectly delicious to drink. Bringing in water in plastic bottles is highly discouraged. It's woodsy! Access roads and driveway are dark at night. Surrounding sand/dirt roads are quite bumpy in places.
