Whether you stay for A WEEKEND or a season, you’ll find no shortage of essential amenities, where bars & restaurants are woven into the fabric of the street scenes all around our home The space Designed by local Architect, Corbett Scott and featured on The JetSet TV travel channel by celebrity psychic and author Laura Powers. Our home features King beds in all 3-bedrooms, a loft with a *PELOTON spin bike and off street parking for one vehicle. *unlimited Peloton App+ classes available on the 65-inch TV in loft note there is no Peloton ALL-Access membership for the monitor on the bike but the same classes are available in the app. Welcome to Maison Rougaroux, your own special retreat in the heart of New Orleans. Where favorite bars and restaurants are woven into the fabric of the street scenes all around our house. Come have an exceptional New Orleans experience in our one-of-a-kind designed house that embodies the historic and the modern, so you and yours get the real NOLA flavor. Here you have more modern amenities than you would get at most hotels. This 'camelback' style house is an ode to the historic architecture of the city, and takes every opportunity to charm you, from the plantation shutters in the master bath, to your very own flickering gas lamps hanging in front porch poised to welcome you back after an evening of revelry. Whether you want to STAY FOR THE WEEKEND or an entire season, you’ll find no shortage of amenities in this home. Each bedroom is oversized and much larger than you will typically find with other homes or hotels in the city and two of the rooms have full size walk-in closets. Our fully equipped kitchen allows for a magnificent evening of feasting at home, where you can dine inside or out on the back gallery (porch) sipping a cocktail of your choice while being enveloped in that sweet southern air. Then go enjoy a full soak in the freestanding tub, cuddle up on the couch and take in your favorite show, or explore the New Orleans nightlife. If you want a jaunt on famous Bourbon or Frenchmen Street, have an intimate dinner, seek out one of many master mixologists throughout the city, listen to some legendary jazz, or go find a Second Line to be part of the festivities, its only minutes away. Our home is located in the HEART of the Bywater and a short 6-8 minute Uber/Lyft/Taxi ride to the east end of the French Quarter’s French Market or to Frenchman St. in the Marigny. Yet there is also a world of great stuff right outside our front door here in the Bywater where you can walk to many favorite local Bywater spots. Bordering the Mississippi River, it is an area with classic architecture and a bohemian feel. Even better, enjoy easy access to the French Quarter and beyond. Off street parking available (a BIG plus). IF you are going into the Quarter where parking is limited, leave the car parked at home and take an Uber. IF you are not driving the best way to get to Maison Rougaroux is by Uber / Lyft. While you're staying with us we recommend using Uber or Lyft to get around. Renting BLUE BIKES (e-bicycles) is another fun & great way to explore the neighborhood. QUIET HOURS: are 10pm to 8am As per City ordinance. Keep music and noise at a reasonably low level between 10 pm and 8 am. Neighbors will complain. BUGS: Louisiana is home to many type of bugs & insects not commonly known anywhere else. Especially during the hot months (May to Aug - Sept). To prevent infestation, we are under quarterly contract for pests and yearly contract for termites. In order to minimize pest entry keep ALL windows and doors CLOSED and locked at all times. Yes some bugs do fly (i.e. termites, cockroaches, little black bugs w-a red spot) CHECKING OUT: - Text your Guest Concierge when you exit - Throw all trash and left over food in the trash cans located in the front driveway. - Set the alarm when you exit. You will have 60 seconds to exit after you set the alarm. NO SMOKING: please refrain from smoking of any type (i.e. cigars, marijuana, pipes, etc) while staying in our home.
