Feel at home in this updated, cozy 2 bedroom, 1 bath ranch. Seriously, this town feels like Mayberry. Town whistles sound at 7am, noon & 6pm. Fabulous pizza & great priced drinks are just a 2 block walk. It's just a 4-5 block walk to get to either of the town parks. The local meat locker sells amazing meat & grocery staples. Balloon Field: 9 miles. Pickard Park: 10 miles. Simpson College: 12 miles. Nearest full grocery: 12 miles. Knoxville Raceway: 21 miles. Des Moines Airport: 28 miles. This home is very cozy and you will feel right at home. The eat in kitchen is light and bright and has views of the back deck and large backyard. It is well stocked with plenty of dishes, glasses, silverware, utensils, cookware, bakeware and food storage. Kitchen is stocked with drip coffee maker, toaster, small crock pot, immersion hand blender and hand mixer. There is a counter height kitchen table to enjoy meals and play games. Just off of the kitchen is the living room. It is spacious, open and faces the front of the home. It is furnished with a 43" TV, large sectional sofa, side tables and an entry table. It's a great place to relax and watch a movie. Just down the hall is a full bathroom. The vanity is actually long enough to sit your toiletries on and there is plenty of storage. You will love grooming in front of the giant mirror. If you like taking baths, the tub is taller and wider than you will get at a hotel. Just past the bathroom is the 2nd bedroom. It's not a huge room but it's big enough to hold a queen bed. There is a 32" wall mounted TV on the wall and if the bathroom is full, there is a large mirror on the wall. The master bedroom is kind of an L shape. It contains a king bed with a wall mounted 32" TV. Just around the corner is a walk in closet and a full size futon that would work well for 2 children. The home does not have satellite or cable TV, however it has lots of streaming options including Roku TV, Paramount, Peacock, Hulu and more. Guests have access to the entire main level of the home, the deck, all parking and the front and back yard. Guests do not have use of the basement other than to use the washer and dryer. I can be reached via text, phone or the AirBnb app. Milo is an adorable small town. You can walk to dinner and drinks, to both parks and to the meat locker. The Milo Meat Locker is known for many miles around and you can get excellent meat options, staple grocery items and soft serve ice cream. 6 blocks away is Caseys gas station that also sells staple grocery items, medicinal items plus they have an in house kitchen that makes carry out donuts, pizzas, hot sandwiches, breakfast items, light salads etc. In the event you have car trouble you can get it looked at by the Warren County Tire & Auto Service. This is not a party community. Neighbors know everyone and everyone watches out for the community. Opie doesn't live next door but you wouldn't be surprised if he did. You can get around by auto or walking. The town is mostly flat and it's easy to walk anywhere. Bring your bike and you can explore the town on 2 wheels. The driveway is long enough to hold several cars. I have had guests park campers, trailers and boats with plenty of room. For those coming to town for balloons, fairs or disc golf and have trailers, this driveway is pretty long. You may also park in front of the house on the street. I occasionally allow shorter/longer stays and other exceptions on a case by case basis. Contact me if you have any special requests.
