Our cozy cabin is located in Gallatin Gateway on 1 acre—20min to downtown, 25min to the airport, and 40min to Big Sky Resort & Bridger Bowl. Ideal for a quick stop en route to Big Sky or a week-long mountain honeymoon. Set among aspens, pines, and with stunning Mountain views, it's a year-round haven. Two outdoor firepits with wood and a gas fireplace inside and on the porch elevate the experience. We live in the adjacent cabin and can mingle or give you privacy. Can't wait to host you! Silver Creek Cabin is one of two cabins built on a landscaped acre in Gallatin Gateway, just outside Bozeman, MT. While we reside in the adjacent cabin, it's sometimes rented out. Thoughtful parking arrangements guarantee your privacy. The cabin features a studio layout with a queen bed and a single pullout couch bed. Its kitchen is well-equipped, featuring a half-size 4-burner stove, oven, fridge, microwave, and a Keurig coffee maker. Dine at the quaint kitchen table while enjoying scenic views. An indoor gas fireplace adds warmth and ambiance, especially during winter months. Relax on a sofa chair by the expansive picture window or on the loveseat (which doubles as the pullout couch) facing the Roku-equipped TV. The cabin has a full bathroom; however, the shorter shower might not suit very tall guests. During summer, we provide complimentary bear spray for your treks in grizzly territory. If you're unfamiliar with its use, please ask! Ensure it's returned before checkout. In winter, enjoy our free snowshoes for the on-site 1/4 mile trail, which runs down the berm and up the canal bottom. You're welcome to use them on local trails but remember to bring them back! The front porch features two wooden chairs, a propane firepit, and firewood for both outdoor firepits: a smaller one out front and a larger one at the back. You'll be able to use the parking space nearest to your cabin, along with the front and back outdoor areas of your cabin. This includes the firepits and the snowshoe trail. Shelby and I typically reside in the neighboring cabin, but we do occasionally rent it out as well. Typically, we're quiet and value our privacy, but we're also open to chatting and spending time with you. If you spot us outdoors, maybe walking our dogs or relaxing by the fire pit, don't hesitate to come over and join us! Law Rd is a dirt road outside the small community of Gallatin Gateway, which was named for being the starting point for early Yellowstone tourists. Your cabin is 20 minutes to downtown Bozeman, 25 minutes to the airport, 40 minutes to Big Sky, 40 minutes to Bridger Bowl, and 1 hour and 15 minutes to the West Yellowstone entrance. You will be about as centrally located for the above destinations as possible. Our road is generally quiet with the occasional car driving by, and you'll be able to really soak in the slow living our cabin has to offer. You'll need a car to get to almost all popular destinations, but there is a beautiful walk/bike route that can be taken if you head south on Law Rd, take caution crossing South Cottonwood Rd, and then continue past the green house along Yonder Rd. It can be muddy if it's been raining or melting snow! It can be as long as 2 miles one way if you keep continuing along it, but there isn't really a short walking loop so it's more of an out and back type of walk. The cabin has exposed hot water heaters that are hidden behind a simple curtain. The gas fireplace will become hot to the touch, but not nearly as hot as an actual wood fire stove. The West Gallatin Canal runs along the back fence line of the property behind the large berm. Feel free to walk onto the berm to gain some epic views, but please take care and mind the water below.
