The Hide Out

Half way up the hill, enjoy a private artsy experience at this small apartment on the ground floor of my home in Housatonic, Great Barrington.. You have complete privacy with your own entrance and use of the front garden. It is quiet and a 5 mins walk to the Village , local transportation and the fabulous restaurant/Antique store Pleasant and Main . The hill is great for jogging and more steps to the house to keep fit. 10 mins by car or 15 mins by bus to the town of Great Barrington. The space You enter from the garden into a porch then the living room/kitchen . There are three doorways, one to the beautiful period bathroom the other into the office and the third into the main bedroom. The bedroom and living room/kitchen look out into the front garden (west facing) . There is direct sunlight in the afternoon/evening. Guest access Park your car in the back garden parking at the top of the hill and walk down over the grass through the back garden around the right side of the house to your door. Or take the driveway down to the bottom steps which lead to the front door. Your door is the second one if you take this route. A yellow table and chairs are in the porch infront of your door Other things to note It is not suitable for big dogs. If your dog is under 20 pounds and well behaved then they are welcome. In Winter you will need great boots and to park your car at the bottom of the private hill near the bins as the private hill is only partially cleared of snow (up to the entrance steps). There are steps and a hill so it is not for the faint hearted .
