The easy access to the NE entrance of Yellowstone makes this stay convenient for wildlife viewing, picnicking, nature walks/hiking, and sight seeing in the park. Fly fishing opportunities abound in streams, rivers, and alpine lakes. Non-winter visitors can access the unbelievable Beartooth Pass via what Charles Kuralt once described as, "the most beautiful drive in America". For winter visitors there is unbeatable back country skiing, snowmobiling, snow shoeing, and cross country skiing directly from the cabin. For those looking for a quiet, relaxing retreat, the cabin has several quiet nooks and is located on a private road on the edge of the small town of Cooke City. The cabin features gorgeous hard wood floors, tiled kitchen counters, a clawfoot tub/shower, and a cozy wood stove. We provide ample firewood, but the cabin also has (yet never needs) supplemental heat. The first floor bedroom has a queen sized bed, and the loft has log framed beds (one queen and a trundle with two singles). Guest access The cabin is located on the edge of the small town of Cooke City, MT. From the cabin local cafes/bakeries, saloon, and general store are a 5-10 minute walk. There is room to park 2 vehicles and trailers on the driveway. The driveway and road are plowed throughout the winter. Other things to note **PLEASE NOTE: Beartooth Pass is closed Sept-May (town of Cooke City accessible ONLY through the NE Yellowstone entrance during winter months)
