A nice little room with a 5 minute walk from the Hele-On bus stop & 10 minutes by car from Pahoa Village with shops & restaurants. Volcano National Park is about 45 minutes away with a great view of the lava caldera. Take a drive to Isaak Hale Park & see the newly formed black sand beach from the 2018 Lava flow. It's a beautiful drive through tree tunnels. Nanawale Estates is just this side of a rural neighborhood. Some of the roads are paved and some are not. Some of the gravel roads do have puddles but the main roads to this house are largely paved with a short ride from them to the house. It's quiet but sometimes the Hawaiian wildlife like to make their presence known, bird song can get pretty lively! The chickens are feral here so you may see an occasional flock here and there adding to the sounds of the jungle. The butterflies and giant moths are amazing and geckos abound! You will be very close to the jungle so you will see things you may not have seen before so expect jungle friends as we live within their environment and take measures to keep them outside, sometimes they will still appear. Welcome to the tropics! There is parking next to the door of your room and there is also a bus that stops within walking distance of the room as well, Hele-on Bus service is widely used here.
