This comfortable cottage apartment has all the amenities of home. -Central AC/heating -Ceiling Fans -FREE Washer/Dryer -Full kitchen/bath -Gas grill on balcony -WiFi and roku streaming device The space Please read this entire listing before booking. It is essential that you read the details to ensure that this property will meet your expectations. Please make sure the amenities that you need and expect are listed. (ONE CAR PARKING ONLY) UPSTAIRS UNIT- a flight of 16 stairs must be taken to enter the main door of the unit. NO SMOKING IN OR ON THE PROPERTY. Not the yard/driveway/balcony. NO SMOKING. Cozy,quaint Bayou side apartment. Has all the amenities of home with full size appliances. Parking at the front door marked 703 (ONE CAR PARKING SPACE ONLY)..as the driveway is a shared space with the downstairs unit). Parking on the road behind driveways, in front of mailboxes or parking at the end of the driveway so as to block other guest is NOT ALLOWED. The first entry door can be locked by keypad or key lock. Once you enter the first door there are 16 stairs to the second private entry door. (I recommend leaving the staircase light on when leaving and returning. The staircase can be dark when no light is present) Take it easy at this unique and tranquil getaway. Come and enjoy our cozy cottage on the bayou Marino. Whether you are in town for the areas superb golfing, or a fun filled night at one of the local casinos you are sure to love this tucked away gem. Kick back and enjoy this quaint respite on the edge of a beautiful Louisiana Bayou. Fully furnished with the comforts of home. Washer/dryer/washing pods provided/free. Fully functioning kitchen. Full Bathroom. Guest have access to WiFi and Roku device apps. Be sure to bring your own app login and password information and LOG OUT when you leave. We are not responsible to log you out..other guest may come behind you and use these apps if you do not. This unit comes equipped with a drip coffee maker, along with coffee, filters, sugar and sweetener varieties and cream. Should you have a preference for a particular brand of coffee or coffee accessory, feel free to bring your own along for your stay. Bed #1 Queen in primary bedroom. Bed #2 Twin pull out sofa in living room (small brown couch) If the reservation states 2 guest, I Typically only dress the queen bed. If you are 2 guest and need separate beds, please let me know and I will be happy to dress the second bed. The cottage is not suitable for children.. this is more suitable for a couples getaway or adult weekend away. Outdoor space includes; Gas grill on balcony. Small dinette seating on balcony overlooking the bayou. Kayaking/canoe located in the back of the unit on the rack(please return all items to its original location after using). Swings under the trees. Backyard deck with chairs and side table, backyard adirondack chairs located by the waters edge. You may enjoy setting up a picnic area anywhere you would like. Feel free to fish. (fishing gear and bait NOT provided). The person booking the reservation must be one of the guest that stays in the unit. Booking for someone else is not allowed. It is very important for me to know who is staying on the property and have access to communicating with them through the Airbnb app. Communication I ONLY COMMUNICATE through the Airbnb app. Please refrain from calling or texting unless a major emergency occurs. Please refrain from communication after 8pm-7am. Airbnb guest are important to me but I do prioritize family time in the evenings. Please be mindful of the keys and keypad usage so as to not lock yourselves out. I provide 2 methods of locking and WILL NOT respond to request to unlock doors in the middle of the night. Note, we are able to monitor the number of guest/pets/smoking at the entry point of the property. (none of our properties have internal surveillance video) Exceeding the number of guests stated on the reservation or bringing unauthorized pet will be cause for cancellation of your reservation and cessation of your stay without refund as outlined in the Airbnb Agreement. Any guests that you have visiting must leave the property by midnight. Any guests who stay past midnight will be considered as “extra sleepover guests” and you will be charged $100 extra per guests. As with all Vacation Rental Properties, Guests acknowledge and assume their own risk when using the property provided or partaking in any activities listed on the property description. Living in Southwest Louisiana on a bayou, we encounter wildlife on a daily bases. If you encounter any wildlife such as; raccoons, alligators, birds, squirrels, snakes, fish etc., please remember that we are in THEIR habitat and environment. Please do not harm or remove them from their natural state. If you see an alligator on the property, they may hiss or look intimidating .. but likely will leave you alone if you leave them alone. Alligators can not and will not be removed from the yard. Please - Please - Please remember to take all items that you came with. I do not specialize in shipping. I am not responsible for holding or returning items left behind. Above all, have a great stay!! We love our first time guests, as well as our repeaters, and we want you all to have a wonderful time during your stay here in Southwest Louisiana. Once you have read- and if you feel this listing suits your needs and preferences, after booking I will immediately send a welcome message. You will receive check-in information 24-48 hours ahead of your reservation date. Cancelation: as with any booking.. please read and understand the cancelation policy. I DO ADVISE TRIP INSURANCE ON ALL BOOKINGS, your plans may change or Louisiana weather may be unpredictable. My cancellation policy is firm. With the exception of National weather services Named storms- I stick to the cancellation policy in all circumstances. Please note that, WITHIN 30 days of arrival, your reservation becomes non-refundable and cannot be rescheduled. ~ Please plan accordingly~ Guest access One car parking space only in the driveway. Additional parking in adjacent property available upon request. Guest have access to our beautiful bayou. Enjoy a southern breeze on two comfortable porch swings, Or enjoy listening to the various Louisiana Birds kicked back on the Adirondack chairs or single seat porch swings at the bayous edge. Plan an outing on the bayou with the canoe or kayaks. Free on site parking. (One car permitted as driveway is a shared space it another unit). Guest will have access to the patio on the bayou. Gas grill on balcony. The grounds around the property make for a nice picnic area or just enjoying the peacefulness of our area’s wildlife. If you are a bird watcher, this is the perfect spot to see many of Louisiana's Native birds. Other things to note When booking the cottage, please notify me if the extra bed need to be dressed for guests. The queen bed is the only bed I have fully dressed at all times. The pull out twin couch bed needs a request to be made up. -ONE CAR PARKING SPOT AVAILABLE ONLY in driveway. Extra VEHICLE/BOAT/TRAILER/CAMPER/FOOD TRUCK PARKING available upon request. Extra parking will be in the adjacent lot to the west of the unit not the driveway.. (The driveway is a shared space with another unit) -INTERNET is a T-Mobile 5G home internet box. 📣BOOKING MUST BE DONE BY THE GUEST THAT INTENDS TO BE USING THE SPACE. NO SECOND OR 3rd PARTY BOOKING.📣 I have to be able to speak with and communicate THROUGH AIRBNB APP with the guest staying on the property. I DO ADVISE TRIP INSURANCE ON ALL BOOKINGS, your plans may change or Louisiana weather may be unpredictable. My cancellation policy is firm. With the exception of National weather services Named storms- I stick to the cancellation policy in all circumstances. -No smoking anywhere in or on the property-No drug use, No pets -Guest must be over the age of 25. NO CHILDREN under 12 due to insurance policy restrictions. -Help yourself to the kayaks and canoe located on the backside of the unit. Guest have full use of the backyard and waterway. If kayaks, canoes, life jackets and paddles are used ... PLEASE be sure to put things back where they were found originally. Living on the bayou means tide water rises and falls, winds can pick up on short notice.. if items are left out they may not stick around long. -You are more than welcome to fish. If you catch fish and intend on bringing it home that is fine.. but please do not throw bait, fish, any fish parts, boiled crawfish or crabs in the trash cans inside or the outside bins. Anything caught in the water needs to go back in the water for disposal.. crabs, snakes and gators will gladly feed on your discards. -You may see gators you may not.. please do not try and catch or harm the gators. they will not bother you if you do not bother them. -PLEASE NOTE that the neighbors yard across the street is not included in or affiliated with my listing. Some guest have tried walking along their property or even tried fishing from it.. THIS IS NOT ALLOWED. 0.4 miles from the nearest grocery store, .. Try some of their delicious in house smoked sausages or Boudin.. a Louisiana favorite for sure! 1.4 miles from The National Golf course. The National is a Public course that opened in 2009. It is listed as one of the TOP 5 public courses in Louisiana . It was completed with a beautiful club house which includes The Max Bar and Grill restaurant. Dine in or order online for pick up or delivery. A Brand new coffee shop has just joined our Westlake family of businesses. PT's !! PT's also has snowballs and ice cream. -If your looking for a quick outdoor workout.. our local city park has a great padded walking trail as well as some outdoor training equipment. Pinderosa Park, 3104 Westwood rd. Westlake. Although the Cottage is Conveniently located in the center of town, I wouldn’t say we are a “walkable town”. Staying at our Cottage makes it easy to navigate to casinos, local industries or cities nearby by car. More local favorites and suggestions are listed in the Cottage.
