This 3 bedroom 2 bath includes an additional 1 bedroom 1 bath cottage in the backyard. Hidden in a quiet, private country area smack in the center of everything! You’ll feel right at home while you sip a cup of coffee and watch the race horses training just across the field from the house or sit on the patio in-front of the cottage and watch the garden grow. Lounge on the big comfy couch while watching the 70 inch flat screen tv. Enjoy a glass of wine while cooking on the beautiful Viking stove. You can usually pick fresh fruits and vegetables from the garden just outside the kitchen window or check out all the delivery options from most of the restaurants In Lafayette, Scott, Carencro, and a others near by. We try to leave the amount of contact/interaction up to the guest. Some things are just unavoidable. So let us know! We are always available by text or phone. (Text is preferable but sarcasm sometimes gets lost in text) We love questions! Of course, we prefer ones we can answer, but we’re not afraid ask Alexa, Siri or Google for “help!” Please don’t be afraid to tell us that we are annoying if you happen to change your mind about how much contact you’d like...We understand...the sheep get tired of listening to us too We are centrally located where Scott, Lafayette, and Carencro all meet. Just 3 miles to I-10 and only 5 miles to I-49. I would recommend a vehicle of some sort because we are surrounded by so many different things to see and do. However, we are located in a prime location so Uber/Lyft are available. The cottage is located behind the house and there is a large shop on the property that also may or may not be occupied. The level of interaction is up to you. The way that the property is set up creates complete privacy for each building. While you won’t find a full size stove or oven, in the cottage, you will be able to cook some creative meals from the under counter refrigerator, an electric hot plate, pots, pans, microwave, coffee pot, and tea pot. Our poor wine unit in the house has become completely unreliable so unfortunately, it’s on a time out in the corner. However, you’re welcome to help yourself to any drinks and/or condiments in the regular kitchen refrigerator. There’s also two shelves in the kitchen full of spices that you’re welcome use. Much like ourselves, our home seems to be a constant work in progress. There may be small details that aren’t complete, but they never hinder your stay, and we always do our best to never do construction during your stay unless there is an urgent repair that just can’t wait. Unfortunately, sometimes can feel like it delays our progress a bit, but we don’t ever want to inconvenience anyone. Our house is not perfect, but it is home so please be patient with us.
