Large studio unit attached to our family home in HPP, a rural subdivision in Puna on Hawai‘i Island. 20 min from Hilo Int'l Airport & 40 min from Volcanoes NP. We have 2 large dogs, Jack & Boogie, a big blind pig, Lilo, and many cats. They bark/chuff and will be excited to meet you. If you aren't comfortable around large dogs and a blind pig this is not the place for you. Animal noises, incl. coqui frogs, are part of this rural space. You agree to all "House Rules" by instantly booking. The space Your unit is a 450 sq.ft. studio apartment attached to our family home on one gated/fenced acre in the Park. Your rental has a private entrance, parking, and outdoor space and was brand new as of June 2022. It is furnished with a king sized bed and twin daybed and my own funky sense of Hawaiiana decor. There is a bathroom with a large shower and a kitchenette with an apartment-sized fridge, two-burner hotplate, microwave, toaster, rice cooker, InstaPot, blender and many other amenities to make your stay very comfortable. All water used on our property comes from rain collected on the roof and stored in a 10,000 gallon tank. Please understand that water conservation is a way of life here. We hope this space will be a relaxing way to end each day’s adventures on the East side. We recently moved here from Maui, so we are still exploring all the Big Island has to offer. Other things to note ❀ The kitchen and bathroom both have a small step up. ❀ Laundry facilities and supplies are available to guests for $10 per load (to wash and dry) 8am-4pm. There is a laundromat in Kea’au.
