Swimming in this lake is not recommended due to the water bugs. However there is an excellent park (with an island a beach and boat launch)at Echo Lake, five minutes down the road. Beautiful warm water perfect for swimming. Just 10 minutes down the road is the access for Jewel Basin as well, with many hiking trails. $50 pet fee.
