Avalon Home Walk Everywhere
The whole group will enjoy easy access to everything from this beautiful centrally located home. 3 blocks to the beach, on Dune Drive, walk to everything. Great kids park, arcade, ice cream shop, and bathrooms at this beach. Plenty of space, indoor and outdoor with 3 porches. Primary room occupies the entire 3rd floor with king bed and 2 couch lounge area and private balcony with an ocean view. House layout: First floor bedroom- Queen bed, share full bath in hallway First floor bedroom- Queen bed+ twin bed, share full bath in hallway First floor bedroom- 3 twin beds + ensuite full bath Second floor- Kitchen, dining area, living area with a porch, den with pullout couch and balcony, half bath Third floor- Private master suite with additional living area and balcony Paige Saunders is very helpful, the owners daughter Avalon, what can we say. YOUR STAY Here's some other tips and places to go/eat/play. Food – Cheaper…ACME back to the Garden State Parkway, or ACME in Sea Isle City, Always WAWA..Quick and Expensive…Avalon Seafood and Market on 29th, and Avalon Deli/Market on 29th, Bud’s Market on 83rd Liquor/Beer – Lots of restaurants are BYOB, Fred’s on Dune and 22nd Beach – Chairs in the Garage. For Toys, ACME or CVS in Sea Isle are cheapest The Beach at 30th St is great, and there are bathrooms. Most other beaches do NOT have bathrooms. And Ice Cream and sodas for sale on the mini-boardwalk….and good Kids Play Area Beach Tags are REQUIRED in Avalon 10am-5pm, there are 8 beach tags in the small drawer next to the refrigerator There are two ACs, one for the 1st floor, and 1 for the 2nd and 3rd floor. Confusing that there are two thermostats on the 2nd and 3rd floor, that both operate the same AC. So both will work. If you wonder why one isn’t working, it’s because the other one is calling for AC/heat. The decks have retractable awnings….be sure to retract them at night, or if it’s Windy If rain is expected, suggest putting the outdoor cushions inside to keep them dry Trash schedule and policies - TUESDAY TRASH & Recycle, FRIDAY TRASH ONLY Riding Bikes is GREAT, no hills. But beware the breezes as it could make the way home arduous. And ALWAYS LOCK YOUR BIKE ……Bike locks code… 3333 or there are Keys….FREE AIR at Hollywood Bikes TOLLS to Sea Isle and Wildwood, and everywhere…CASH ONLY…$1.50-$2.00 FUN (AV-Avalon, SH-Stone Harbor, SIC-Sea Isle City, W-Wildwood, OC-Ocean City, CM-Cape May) • AV - Princeton (always) and you will likely end up there any night out They have bands Fri-Sat and some other nights. Food is pretty good too. • AV- WhiteBrier (Saturday happy hour) and always for Sushi, or rainy day in the small old bar inside • AV- Breakfast at Avalon Bagel, Uncle Bills or Kohlers Bakery, cheesesteak/pizza from Nemo’s • AV/SH - Icona Beach Bar, always happy hour, and live band Sundays 3-7pm • AV/SH- Windrift good sushi and pizza, has live music a lot on the bottom floor, good 2nd floor ocean view bar • SH - Lazy Bass sunsets and have a great food truck (crab fries delish) • SH- Reeds sunset bar, expensive dinner but good • SH- Food and Stroll on 96th St…Quahogs, The Watering Hull, Stone Harbor Bar & Grill favorites • SH- Sundays Farm Market 8am-12:30pm at 95th St • SH- Movie theater on 96th is small but good • W and OC – both have boardwalks with rides, OC is smaller and more laid back, W can get trashy later • SIC – Mike’s Seafood – best seafood, order at the counter, and they bring you food at your picnic table • SIC- The Point – fun outdoor bar near the beach, parking is tricky • SIC – Ocean Drive – dive bar, usually fun • CM – very cool to walk around, park near Congress Hall (very old) and walk Washington Street • CM – Lobster House – expensive dinner by old school • CM – Wineries scattered around, nicest is Willow Creek, and Hawk Haven Walk or Bike everywhere. Bed Linens and towels can be ordered thru local companies, same for crib and bike rentals.
