SW bedroom w/ bench seat and stained glass window

Take it easy at this unique and tranquil getaway. Enjoy the stained glass window and bench seat. Stay for a short while or a little longer to enjoy activities in Grinnell or see friends and family or college student. Enjoy the activities at the city park, the trails, disc golf, city water park, and more. Lots of restaurants and shops available. Movie theater as well. Lots of city parks to explore, enjoy the weather and see nature with many lakes in city. The space I have been remodeling this house for 2 1/2 years. The inside is mostly done with little projects here and there to complete. The outside is still a work in progress finishing up siding, porches, trim, soffit, fascia, and gutters. And the yard next year.. The contractor is on site during the day making related noise. The house has a wonderful front architectural design, and in time will shine, but for now, if you can see past this construction, we welcome your stay. If you are skittish about ladders, saw horses and construction supplies sitting out, don't book here. The outside is not open for critique feedback on AirBnB because I am promoting the inside and the price reflects that during you stay. If the outside is the reason you opt to bale out on your stay, sorry no refund because I am transparent and up front. On another note, the house is old... you will hear the floor and stairs creek when people walk, plumbing when it is used, the sounds of nature and weather and the train 3x day close by. I grew up in a big, old house like this with 8 siblings, and these things are part of the charm and character to me. If you are sensitive to those things/noises, it won't be the best choice. If you have challenges pop up during your stay, send me a text first so that I can get it resolved instead of Airbnb because they aren't there to help. If this sounds nit picky, it comes from actual Airbnb guests for the property, so we are good if you book, right? Guest access Access to the kitchen, refrigerator, water/ice in the door, dining room, bathroom and your sleeping room is available. During your stay I am on site and other times work keeps me away and busy. Please send a text if you have a question and I'm not around so that I can give answers or address issues which is better than texting Airbnb..... Other things to note It is possible to book a longer stay if you contact me through messaging. I have to check my calendar, and see what your needs are to see if we are a match. If you are traveling for work, medical personnel, construction, or business that is a great match.
