A updated split level 5 bedroom house. Comfortable accommodations for at 10 people with 3 king beds, 1 queen bed, and a twin day bed/twin trundle, all on high quality memory foam hybrid mattresses. Private residence on Highland Road just a short walk from campus with enough parking for 7 cars - including a level 2 EV Charging station. Booking party must be age 24+, and must be present at the home for the duration of the stay unless previously agreed upon in writing. The space This home has been in our family since it was built in 1972, and you can feel the love and joy that filled its rooms for decades. We recently renovated and added modern amenities for guests - and for our family when we visit! The split level design creates space for everyone to enjoy themselves. Walking into the main level, you'll find a large living room with ample seating for 8 and a 75" LG TV, along with the large retro (fully functional and stocked) kitchen with dining table for 8. All bedrooms require steps up or down to access them. This is not an ADA compliant house. Upstairs features the primary en suite king bedroom with private double vanity bath and stone shower. The primary bedroom also features a brand new 50" LG TV. The office with twin daybed and trundle (and access to second floor deck overlooking vast backyard); another king bedroom; and a large hall bath with a stone shower, double vanity and large backlit LED mirror with defogging feature. Downstairs you'll find a second living area with a 50" TV, comfortable lounging couches and chairs with books and games, and access to the back patio and large yard. Flanking the downstairs living room are one queen bedroom with a semi-en suite bath (can be closed off to the rest of downstairs if desired), and one king bedroom with two large closets. All bathrooms feature stone showers, marble or quartz vanities with lots of storage and two have LED mirrors with defogging feature and multiple light tones. All bedrooms feature memory foam hybrid mattresses and soft sheets and bedding approved by even the pickiest sleepers in our family. Extra blankets are available in each closet. The kitchen is stocked with a dual brew K cup/drip coffee maker with a variety of capsules and sweeteners, as well as everything you need to cook a gourmet meal (even EVOO!) or enjoy takeout at the dining table! Outdoor areas include a second floor balcony lit with string lights overlooking the spacious backyard to enjoy the view. The back deck has a 4 chair table with LED lit umbrella along with 2 Adirondack chairs to enjoy the view of the back yard. The lower back deck features a 2 burner Weber gas grill for guest use. The gravel fire pit is located directly behind the carport. We have 6 Adirondack chairs surrounding the fire pit (with plenty of firewood for guest use). Proximity to LSU is what makes this home so special - the LSU Tiger Trails bus stops right across the street, and Tiger Stadium is just a quick walk through the beautiful oak filled campus. Rest easy while you're away from the house - we have exterior security cameras in the carport, the fire pit area, BBQ grill, driveway, and side yards for safety and liability reasons. There are no cameras on the upper back porch. All cameras are clearly visible and not hidden in any way. As of January 2025, we have a Level 2 ChargePoint EV charger in the covered carport. The charger has a J-1772 connector and charges at 50 amps (roughly 12 kw/37 miles per hour). Any and all charging for guests staying in the home is included in the nightly rate of the stay. This is an entire home rental, with no other accommodations on-site. The home is yours to enjoy fully! Guest access Full private use of the entire property, with ample parking for seven full size vehicles (two spots are covered). Please be aware that there are ----- exterior only ---- security cameras in the driveway, carport, front door, back porch (on BBQ grill), fire pit, and side gates of the house. Level 2 ChargePoint EV charger is available to unlimited use for guests staying in the house and is included in the nightly rate for the house. Other things to note Level 2 ChargePoint EV charger in the covered carport. The charger has a J-1772 connector and charges at 50 amps (roughly 12 kw/37 miles per hour). Any and all charging for guests staying in the home is included in the nightly rate of the stay. There is also a 110 outlet that is available to charge by the front door of the house. Please note there are several exterior security cameras for liability/safety concerns. There are no interior cameras or recording devices of any kind inside the home. Booking party must be age 24+, and must be present at the home for the duration of the stay unless previously agreed upon in writing. Violation is grounds for removal from property without refund.
