Binder with electronic instructions, umbrellas and umbrella holder are also at hand and ready to be used. This property is a registered short term vacation rental in conformance with all local and state laws and in possession of all necessary permits and licenses. The whole house, all common and outdoor areas are exclusively accessible by guests. There are no laundry facilities but there is a laundromat located at the True Value Store in Volcano Village. The housekeeper and local contact, Kyomi, is available if you should need anything at all. Volcano is a unique and a slightly quirky little community of artists and scientists. Its surrounding areas are a nature-lover’s paradise and you will find an almost endless number of hikes and other outdoor activities to keep you occupied. It is absolutely essential that you rent a vehicle for your stay on the Big Island, as public transportation is not really adequate for mobility and flexibility. Free parking is available at the house. Please be advised that this home is situated in a natural rainforest reserve, very close to the 4,000ft. elevation mark and light rains and mists are common. Temperatures can also vary greatly and change with little to no warning throughout the day, so it is advised to travel with a change of clothes, a light jacket, a sturdy pair of hiking shoes and an extra pair of socks.
