The studio is a THIRD FLOOR walk-up perched in a historic neighborhood. Cape May native on-premises host is happy to share Cape Island's best & its best-kept secrets. Enjoy BEACH, BIRDING, SIGHTSEEING, theater, WINERIES, breweries, distilleries, carriage rides... SHOP locally made favorites from art to honey. The space Rent Friday-to Friday with a 7 night minimum in Prime season. Apartment is in HISTORIC WEST CAPE MAY, this third-floor studio is perched atop a VICTORIAN BUILDING. A FABULOUS LOCATION with some of the USA’s BEST BEACHES, BIRDING, DINING & SIGHTSEEING within a 10-minute walk. Your host, on-premises, is a Cape May native happy to share info on the best of Cape Island & its best-kept secrets. You are in a historic residential neighborhood. Within a few blocks, there are several excellent restaurants, artists' shops, a liquor store, a park, and a pharmacy. The apartment has LIGHT & AIR from three directions. It is simply appointed with a full-size high-quality full-size (double) futon and frame, a comfortable high-backed, antique rocker, dresser, full-length mirror, and closet. With 350+ square feet inside, perched above the neighborhood with tree-lined streets, the space includes a gabled room that is the living/sleeping area with ceilings sloping to knee walls. The center of the gable room has 7' ceilings. In the shed dormers, there is a bathroom with shower, toilet, sink, and medicine cabinets (no tub, toilet in a 21" wide alcove), a dining room with table and chairs, and a small kitchen with 4-burner, apartment-sized gas range including oven and a small full-size refrigerator and freezer. The dormer has 7' ceilings. Guests also have shared use of reclining chairs in the side yard and the GARDEN PATIO in the rear yard. Patio has a table, chairs, an umbrella, and a garden with cooking herbs you are welcome to pick. BIRD in the spot Audubon calls the 'Birding Capital of North America'. DINE in what Conde Nast Traveler proclaimed one of the top 20 restaurant cities in the country. EXPLORE the Victorian buildings in and around the National Historic Landmark district. WALK the wildlife areas-South Cape Meadows and Cape May Point State Park offer walking/birding trails through the dunes or get the bird’s eye VIEW by climbing the Cape May lighthouse. EVENTS & ACTIVITIES Contact host for special events during your dates of stay. UPON REQUEST Beach chairs, beach umbrella, beach cart, and olive oil are available upon request. Guest access Guests are renting the entire apartment. One off-street parking space is available and street parking is most often readily available. Guests also have shared use of the garden patio in the rear yard that has a table, chairs, and umbrella and a garden that includes cooking herbs that you can pick. Other things to note Guest must provide sheets, towels, and paper products such as toilet paper and paper towels. The host provides a mattress pad, pillows with zippered undercases, and a bedspread.
