Additions in the early 1800s converted the humble cape style home into a half Federal Colonial offering a unique blend of simplicity and elegance. Further renovations opened the first floor to reveal a light filled open area with a luxurious private bath, separate from the original cape and now offered as a unique stay for our guests. The private bedroom is on the 2nd floor accessed by your private stairway. Guest access This is a small historic river village located in a country setting. Summer parking is on the street with plenty of space available. It is an easy stroll to Mill Pond Conservation area to enjoy a rambling waterfall. Osprey Kayak provides rentals to enjoy a paddle down the tidal East branch of the Westport River. The large park for picnic and people watching begs for photography and painting. Other things to note Within 15 min to Horseneck Beach and Allens Pond Wildlife Preserve. 35 min to Providence RI. 40 min to Newport RI. , 1 hour to Gillette stadium for the World Cup, 1 hour to Cape Cod, 1 hour to Plymouth and 15 minutes to New Bedford rail to Boston or an hour's drive.
