Take long walks around our bucolic neighborhood, or enjoy beautiful bike rides. Wide plank wood floors throughout this beautiful home give it warmth and character. Our Country kitchen has an eat-in dining area and is off a large deck that overlooks magnificent land with towering spruce trees. There's also a running stream. 6 bedrooms, 5 with queen beds and one with king, each have their own updated private bath, some with soaking tubs. The large country french dining room comfortably seats 12. The Library takes you to another time and place, with games and old and new volumes. The oversized screened-in porch overlooks the formal gardens and is a lovely spot to dine al fresco, read, write, or just enjoy the sounds of nature and relax. The back deck has a dining table and gas barbeque grill, and the huge backyard is wonderful for family games and the kids to let loose and play. And enjoy family time around our campfire roasting marshmallows, sharing family stories or singing and playing songs. We are close to all cultural events in the Berkshires- 4 1/2 miles to Ski Butternut, and just 10 minutes to Great Barrington, known for boutique shopping, art galleries, fabulous restaurants, and cultural venues. We're just 15 minutes to Stockbridge and 20 minutes to Lenox. Have fun exploring the Norman Rockwell Museum and the Berkshire Museum. Take in live concerts at Tanglewood, dance performances at Jacobs Pillow, and all the award winning summerstock theater for which the Berkshires is reknown. And just up the road is the renowned Old Inn on the Green, the Berkshire's destination all candle lit 5 star restaurant. Gather and enjoy this special place-- for a summer paradise a fall retreat, a family Thanksgiving, a classic Christmas or a ski vacation. We're just 2 1/2 hours from New York City, and 2 hours from Boston.
