Land + Sea is an 1890s farmhouse in the Head of Westport neighborhood, just a few minutes walk to the East Branch of the Westport River. Spend the days kayaking nearby or at nearby beaches, then come back to rinse off in the outdoor shower. Close to Buzzard Bay Brewing, Westport Rivers Winery, farmstands, dairies, cycling loops, galleries/studios and conservation areas. Prepare local foods in the chef's kitchen or on the grill. A comfy pull-out sofa is an option for overnight guests. Arrangements for tours of local areas can be made for an additional fee. Just let us know what you're looking to do! Guests can access all unlocked spaces within the house. No basement access allowed. The hosts will be staying on site in another building or nearby and are readily available for any questions or needs. The Head of Westport is where the local shipbuilders would launch their vessels. The process of launching was both complex and a bit "seat of the pants." Today, the Head is home to Osprey Sea & Kayak Adventures, where you can rent kayaks, paddleboards, etc.—or launch your own vessel! Across the street is The Head Town Landing Country Store, home to the Southcoast's best donuts and ice cream. A popular neighborhood spot in the summer! Westport is "the country." Cars and bikes are the main transportation. In fact, Westport is a popular place for serious cyclists. Ride shares are also an option. T.F. Green airport is 35 min away, and New Bedford has a small airport as well as a bus station.
