The Clausen House was built in 1890 and is a majestic place to stay. It has been updated with renovated bathrooms, kitchen & laundry room. It has ten foot ceilings on the main floor with beautiful original finished woodwork. The house has been in the Clausen family since it was built. We purchased the home to have guests enjoy it. It is great loc for families to get together and have lots of room to relax and enjoy themselves. Guests with mobility challenges can sleep on the main floor. This location is right downtown beside the public library and just four blocks from the Lake. It is nestled in a quiet neighborhood with off street parking. You can enjoy all the activities that Clear Lake has to offer and then return to the house to relax. It's on wooded lot with lots of mature trees that provide shade for most of the property. Our guests will have access to the whole house during their stay. All of the bedrooms are on the second floor. The den on the first floor has a fold out couch for people with mobility challenges. Our guests have the entire house to themselves, but are encouraged to contact us with any questions or concerns. We are available to make sure our guests have a great experience. The neighborhood is quiet with the public library and churches on three sides of the property and a lumber company on the other side. Plenty of off street parking for vehicles and trailers. Most of the downtown store and attractions are just a short walk, 2 to 3 blocks from the house. We enjoy providing a great experience for our guest and always welcome any suggestions that might improve the experience for future guests. Since the house was built before some of the modern conveniences be prepared to enjoy some of the quirks of an old home.
