On the banks of Rising Pond of the Housatonic river, it has a unique and convenient location to all summer and winter Berkshire activities The space In the heart of the Berkshires, this Riverhouse is conveniently located between Stockbridge and Great Barrington. Most unique property located on the bank of Rising Pond of the Housatonic River! Spectacular views from the deck and picture window of this upstairs artist’s aerie, filled with original art by local artists. Built in 1860, the Riverhouse has been updated and outfitted for modern-day convenience but retains it’s charm and unique appeal. The only house located on the banks of Rising Pond, it offers spectacular views of fall foliage, wildlife, birds, and catch-and-release fishing from the deck and banks. Stone staircase for easy access from the bank of the property for small boating, fishing and sculling. Located in the heart of the Berkshires, Tanglewood, Shakespeare and Co., the Rockwell Museum, Chesterfield, summer stock theatre, music, and dance are all just minutes away. Fully equipped kitchen with all cooking utensils and serving dishes make eating on the deck and entertaining a delight. Walking distance to Berkshire Mountain Bakery for delicious french pastries, bread and take-away pizza! Taft Organic Farms is right down the road 1.25 miles. Local loop bus stops right outside the door. If you are so inclined, Theory Wellness and various other recreational dispensaries are located 2.7 miles away. So many dispensaries in the nearby area to choose from! The open floor plan and lovely views makes this efficient upstairs apartment seem much larger than it’s 650 square feet. The two private bedrooms include a king bed (that can be made into two twins) in the first and a queen-size bed in the second. The large bathroom features an antique full-size claw foot bathtub with shower. Complete kitchen with full size appliances and all cooking and dining utensils. TV is internet enabled with Roku and Chromecast to log into your personal Netflix, Prime, Hulu, etc. accounts. NO NETWORK OR CABLE TV but there is access to Sling for network news and some programming. Strong wifi internet. Full laundry facilities available. Accommodates a maximum of 4 people. High Season: $1400/week June-September; 7 night minimum (unless there is last minute availability). See it under my full profile and reviews at right. Guest access This is the completely private two-bedroom upstairs apartment in a two-floor duplex. There is a quiet, full-time tenant below. Guests have total access to all of the grounds along the river, charcoal grill, river access by stone steps, and two parking spaces on the property. The Riverhouse is located directly on the river bank and very near a road. Small children must be supervised at all times when outdoors. There are steep stairs up to the apartment and an antique (tall) claw foot tub so this property may not be a good fit for someone with mobility concerns. It is NOT handicap accessible. Other things to note If you are lucky, my brother-in-law's band will be practicing in the music shed certain evenings during the week and you will be treated to wonderful live music during your stay. You are welcome to sit down by the river and enjoy. Bring a glass of wine!
