We live in the front half of the home, your rental is the guest suite in the back half of the home. There are two rooms and 1 bathroom. The first room is large and open with a full size bed and couch with pull out full size bed, with A.C. and two large closets. The second bunk room has your kitchenette and fridge and two bunkbeds (4 twin size). Outdoor lanai and dining table under the banana tree with garden lights and a Traeger grill, make a peaceful area to enjoy a night in. Lots of beach gear, including boogie boards, surf boards, paddle board, beach tent, chairs, beach towels and sand toys. We have children and a dog who play on the owner’s side of the property in the front yard/front duplex, but we keep them out of the backyard space designated for the back rental duplex. It is a 5 minute drive to PCC, BYUH/Lai'e Temple, 15 minute drive to Turtle Bay, 1 hour drive from the airport, 40 minute drive to Waimea, Sunset, Pupukea and other North Shore surfing and beaches. We are located on the country side of the island and wild roosters, animals are present. We provide ear plugs to help alleviate the rooster alarm clocks. We are located in a residential neighborhood and street parking is limited so we provide a dedicated parking space in the driveway that can fit 1-2 cars. There is a bus stop at the end of the street for public transport with Da Bus system. Update: Airbnb updated our system and now collects the occupancy taxes for us. We won’t be collecting occupancy taxes separately anymore for any reservations BOOKED after April 18th 2023. We are required by law to charge lodging taxes. All visitors to the state of Hawaii are required to pay an additional 17.75% Hawaii transient accommodation tax and GET tax, this will be collected during your stay.
