Every rental takes home a signed copy of The Legend of Katama, the Wampanoag Creation Story of Dolphins to commemorate your Katama visit. A charming, open, sun-lit cottage with two bedrooms, a roomy full bath, great room, sun room, fully stocked kitchen, washer/dryer, and private deck with outdoor shower awaits your Island holiday. Guided shore fishing trips are also available separately. Edgartown Conservation Lands border the cottage with hiking trails through the old Waller Farm. Happy to help or just leave you be! We also offer guided fishing experiences for an additional charge. Meals, served in your cottage, can also be added. Just a 2 minute drive, and YOU ARE ON SOUTH BEACH! Or step out to the bike path and head for Beach or town, on foot or 2 wheels! Turn left for South Beach (1 mile) or right for town (1 ½ miles), both easily accessible on bicycle or by foot. Walk or ride less that one tenth of a mile to enjoy a delicious meal or an ice cream while watching or riding the bi-planes at the Right Fork Diner, and it's a short walk to Katama General Store for supplies. Easy bike ride to the Farm Institute Camp! You don't really NEED a car here if you can ride a bicycle or like to walk! We are a beautiful, flat walk or ride to the beach and town. However, there is plenty of room for 2 cars in your private driveway. A car can get you around the rest of the island as can our wonderful VTA (Vineyard Transit Authority) bus service. Your hosts are extremely knowledgeable Islanders with years of caring customer service experience. Like most Islanders, they have many jobs. Shore fishing excursions and meals are optional add-ons!
