Stay next to beautiful Paint Creek in the heart of Iowa's Driftless Region. Guests can choose from a queen bed or double futon upstairs in the main living area. We also have a queen air mattress available. Enjoy the scenic view of one of Iowa's best trout streams from the house or adjacent green space. Take a 5 minute drive to Yellow River State Forest, and enjoy close access to other public hunting and fishing areas, Effigy Mounds, Pike's Peak, and the Mississippi River. The space If you’re looking for a rural, simple, cozy space with basics, our home is the spot for you! Enjoy the great outdoors all day and come back to enjoy the wifi, smart TV capabilities, leather couches, pine walls, a large backyard deck with comfy seating, and a small enclosed front patio. Head a block west for a burger and a beer, or take your food to go and eat creekside. Other things to note Our listing comes with some “slightly off grid” vibes even though we’re right in the town of Waterville. We have great WiFi but cell service is limited at the house (for better or worse). We also have quirky plumbing so you might get a faucet spurt or two during your stay when you turn on the water, but fear not - it always comes right back! Additionally, Waterville doesn’t have a gas station or grocery store. Waukon is the closest town to get food and any other needed supplies, so you’ll want to pack your own or plan for a 15 minute drive if you need anything. We keep your cost down by limiting supplies to essentials - so if you need more than a roof over your head, basic kitchen supplies, and a coffee pot - please check with us to make sure we have what you’re looking for!
