NO FIRES until we see some rain. One of our best kept secrets in the Gallatin Valley. 20 miles from Bozeman, but a world away. Limited guests mean you often have the place to yourself or just a few others. A step above tent camping. Located on a historic farm just minutes from town. We have lived here all of our lives and work the land we live on. Please don't surprise me with your pets. I require advance notice that you are traveling with a pet(s). See my other listings for more sites. The space This wagon is the Brusset. It came from Brusset, Montana. Yes, sheepherders actually used to LIVE in them! Some still do in certain areas. Sheepherders were and are shorter people. Keep in mind that the bed is a normal length, but there is no over-hang on either end. Our tallest guest was 6' 3". Sleep in an antique sheepherder's wagon with the beautiful mountains surrounding you and the stars above you. We are the Big Sky state! Our farm is just 20 minutes from Bozeman and even closer to the airport. Two wagons available, each sleeps 2. Please do not just arrive with your pets. I need advance notice. We have a heat-on-demand shower house and a composting outhouse. The wagon has a real bed with fresh linens and the bed made up fresh, just prior to your arrival. This is a canvas-covered wagon. Watch the sheep grazing in the pasture, listen to the many sounds of birds, deer and other wildlife that call this space home along with other farm animals. It's a farm. There is poop. The perfect stop-over between Yellowstone and Glacier. Walking distance to the East Gallatin River. Bicyclist welcome! Amazing, local food within 20 minutes in all directions. Nightly fee includes Montana State Bed Tax, inspected and licensed annually on a State and local level. Check out our other listings. Guest access We have a composting outhouse and/or port-potty and an outdoor shower. During your stay Your stay can be as private or interactive as you wish. I work full time in the wool mill on the farm. Other things to note I've been at this for over 16 years. Just when I think I've seen it all....well, I should write a book! Basically follow the Golden Rule. Do unto others. Don't leave your trash laying around, pick up after yourself and leave it like you found it.
